1050 Half Day. We're done for the night at 27. Jose Rosenkrantz who is a spendid short chip player finally lost an all-in with K 10 to Alan Goehring's K Q. The Queen played and we don't have to anymore tonight.

Chip counts will be out fairly soon. Andy Bloch has a massive lead for this time in a tournament.

1030 Down to one when Alex Prendes went all-in with pocket Queens and Voulgaris had pocket Aces.

Lots of big chip movements. Ted Forrest put a read on Alan Goehring next him when Ted raised with Q 6 off and flopped K K 6. Ted took the heat and about 100k. "Wow," Alan said.

Voulgaris made the right play against David Slan. A Q versus K Q. But David 'Piano Man' Slan flopped the nuts.

Tommy Hang took 100k from Kevin Song when Kevin couldn't call Tommy's all-in.

And Freddy Deeb lessened the Grinder's stack when Deeb made a straight on the river with A K. Mizrachi just tapped the table. Freddy may have had four outs.

1000 New level, 1,000 ante 3k/6k blinds. Andy Bloch is the chip leader with 550k, Kevin Song is second with 350k.

950 They've decided to stop at 27, we might get an early night. Two to go. Refusgio Quintero went all-in with Q J and was called by Tommy Hang who's toasting his table.

28-35th $20,666
Refusio Quintero, David Wells, Robert Rotor, Michael Hauptman, Barry Shulman, Raffi Krikorian, Prahlad Friedman

37-45th $15,499
Alan Dean, Nassem Salem, Nam Le, Peter Moore, Ali Alawadhi, Eli Balas, Mark Dickstein, Tony Ma and Greg Mueller
940 Level's over. On break for 10 minutes plus the color up. We'll really get it out of the dirt in a few minutes. 29 players left going to 27 tonight.

930 Robert Rotor wasn't too pleased with Tommy Hang. He roasted me, Rotor said. The final basting came when Rotor was rooting for a King on the board with pocket Kings against pocket Aces for Hang. Robert got unclogged into 32nd.

Andy Bloch is on fire. He called David Wells with K J and turned a broadway when Wells made two pair. Pitching 31st, David Wells.

920 Payouts so far.

28-35th $20,666
Robert Rotor, Michael Hauptman, Barry Shulman, Raffi Krikorian, Prahlad Friedman

37-45th $15,499
Alan Dean, Nassem Salem, Nam Le, Peter Moore, Ali Alawadhi, Eli Balas, Mark Dickstein, Tony Ma and Greg Mueller

900 Now they are coming before we can get the all the hands. Prahlad Friedman had A J and got stuck with Hung La's A Q.

Raffi Krikorian raised all-in under the gun with A K. Voulgaris (I love this name) had pocket Queens. The flop came with a King then runner runner straight. "Only on the Internet," someone joked.

Barry Shulman was 34th.

Michael Hauptman tried pocket Queens. They win for some players, but not Michael. Kevin Song had A J and a ton of chips to run Hauptman down with two pair.

830 There was a request by some of the players to play through the hand for hand. Didn't need it, Alan Dean, who started second in chips today went out 37th to David Slan. The big lose for Dean was a spiked underpair by Eugene Todd. Redrawing for four tables now.

820 The short stacks can't win a hand all of a sudden. Peter Moore, Nam Le and Nassem Salem all went out in quick order. Down to 37. At this rate, we'll get to the next pay level soon.

810 Fed and paid, a poker player becomes dangerous...usually to himself. Still playing 500 ante, 1,500/3,000 blind for a few more minutes.

First hand Brian Anderson finally ended Mark Dickstein's amazing survival story with 8's over 3's.

Now let's get it out of the mud. 500 ante 2k/4k blinds.

First day chip leaders are usually dead money in these majors. Eli Balas was no exception. With no chips, Eli left to Ted Forrest. Then Ali Alawadhi with fumes couldn't defend.

Table 1
Alan Dean 125k, Mike Hauptman 70k, Barry Shulman 260k, Eugene Todd 60k, Slan 50k, Brian Anderson 110k, Ali 6k

Table 2
Andy Bloch 200k, Ben Johnson 65k, Erick Lindgren 315k, Tommy Hang 300k, Erik Seidel 350k, Glyn Banks 200k, Voulgaris 150k Harley Hall 100k

Table 3
Forrest 200k, Deeb 200k, Rubin 100k, David Wells 60k
Quintero 40k, Michael Mizrachi 300k, Kevin Song 300k, Debora 260k

Table 4
Babka Razi 30k, Alan Goehring 80k, Jenny Kang 190k, Kirkorian 60k, Zolotow 130k, Peter Moore 35k, Brecher 65k, Nassem Salem 50k, Hung La 57k

Table 5
Harrington 105, Marcos 170k, Ramdin 190k Prahlad Friedman 70, Nam Le 60k, Alex Prendes 105k, Robert Rotor 22k, Martin DeKnijff 230k, Jose Rosenkrantz 120k
700 The dam is burst. Greg Mueller is 45th, Tony Ma, 44th. Now the all-in lose everytime. It's odd that way.

One Hour dinner break. Food will taste a little better now that it's paid for.

650 Poor Richard. When he hit the two outer with the miracle Queen you figured he'd survive. There must have been a dozen all-in when he was the shortest stack. Everyone of them stayed. Richard went. He waited and waited, the crowds would form around his table for the two big hand between Goehring, Lindgren and Forrest. Nassem (Not Lee) Salem was all-in a couple of times. Mark Dickstein was all-in with K Q and was called by A 7. Queen on the flop. Poor Richard. It had to be someone. It was him.

620 Still no loser. In a huge hand between poker superstars, Alan Goehring has lost about 200k in two hands. He tried to get Erick Lindgren to lay down an Ace pair on the flop all-in. Erick had to call off all his 90,500 with A 3. Goehring sat motionless in his wraparound shades while Lindgren tried to get a reaction. The clock was called and it hit 3 seconds before Erick said, "Call." Alan went "Oof" when Erick called Alan's K Q.

On the next had Alan flat called a raise by Ted Forrest. The flop came all baby diamonds. Alan raised Ted's bet and called the reraise to cover Forrest's all-in. Alan had the 5 3 of Clubs for a pair and a gutshot straight. Ted had A Q off with the Ace of Diamonds. The Queen of Diamonds rivered and uncharacteristically Ted yelled, "Yes" and pumped his fist. Players were shocked. They'd never seen this much emotion from Ted Forrest.

Kevin Song is the chip leader with about 330k. Mizrachi, Forrest, DeKnijff are next.

600 Forty minutes later, still no decision. Richard Tatalovich was all-in for 3k wlth Q 10 and a Queen on the flop. Erik Seidel had pocket Aces and it got better with a pair of 3's on board. Opps, a Queen on the river to hit a two outer.

520 The suspense should end momentarily. Amazingly Dan Harrington almost coughed the bit with pocket 4's on the button and tried to run over Erik Seidel with 10's in the blind. Why?

500 No one wants to be the last out of the money. Several all-ins with wins or no callers. It will happen soon, though. There are several short stacks. Still hand for hand. I haven't forgotten you.

430 Ben Johnson was considered to be the smartest human alive at one time. It didn't take this Ben Johnson too much brain power to call with pocket Jacks. Joe Awada, the WSOP magician who could have won two bracelets last year, had pocket 7's and 48th place.

420 Michael Woo loved the flop. He had Q J with a board J x x. Woo fell in love and went all-in. Michael Mizrachi loved the flop also with A J in the small blind.

International superstar, Patrick Bruel is out just short of the money. I'll try to get the hand. We are hand for hand at 46.

410 A couple chip moves. First Prahlad Friedman had his chips miscounted last night. He had 129k, not 29k. He just gave most of them to Andy Bloch with pocket Queens. Friedman mucked his hand for a loss of over 50k.

The last female, Jenny Kang doubled up with the ladies in the pocket.

Five more to the money.

400 Fast and furious. Juha Helppi, a WPT winner, took A K up against Voularis' K K. Vulgar in Latin or English. Another of the outstanding Scandanavians is out in 51st.

Then seconds later, the Boss leaves the building. How's this for a tough beat. Lyle Berman gets his case money in before the flop with the A 9 of Spades. David Wells pitched a shutout with the lowly K Q offsuit. How? Bad. The flop comes A K 6 with two spades. Comes runner runner J 10 for a straight. Must be an honest game when the woner of the company can't win his own tournament. Berman was 50th

350 I jinxed him. Mike Sexton just came by to say hello and say he's been reading the blog. I asked him if he was related to Keith Sexton at table six. And Sexton is the first one out.

Todd Bleak tried KQ suited and ran into pocket Aces from David Rubin. It was a miracle Todd got this far without any ammo for two days.
