Photo finish and we have a winner! by Sharla Lehrmann

Stephan Benton from Leesburg, VA takes 1st for the bracelet and $52,301

Tim Dalessandro from West Chester, PA  wins 2nd and $28,812

Wednesday, 25th of January 2006 11:35 PM

The last hand of the night determined our winner.  Tim got it all in preflop while holding big slick.  Stephen, who was the chipmeister at this point, called and showed the J 8 .  With runner runner perfect, the flush came for Stephen to take Tim out in 2nd.

Wednesday, 25th of January 2006 11:30 PM

It was Tim, then it was Stephen, then Tim, then Stephen.  Tim had garnished most of the chips but Stephen quietly persuaded them to come back home where they belonged.  At the end of the confrontation, Tim flopped a pair with his 9 7 and Stephen outpaired him on the turn with his A T.  The next hand was devestating for Tim when Stephen's

K 2 made a pair of twos and took the pot.

I wanted to ask your opinion.  What do you think it means when there is a movie showing in the elevator?  It is for certain the first time for me to see that.  I have several ideas....but, I would love to hear yours.

Blinds go to 10K / 20K

Why do they call it a TV set when it is only one?

Tuesday, 24th of January 2006 11:16 PM

Now they are dead even.  Tim caught a river two times in a row and took the proceeds to the house.  Anyone can take this one now folks.  Dont fall off your chairs!

After the two beatings Svetlana just took, she made it an all in bet and Tim raised. She turned over the K 7 and Tim the A A . Svetlana said something long and growling in some other language and the board came a floppin...A T 7 4 and she has hope....5 and she is out. She stomped off and is really quite aggravated. Not sure I blame her. POKHELL!

Svetlana Gromenkova takes 3rd for $13,97

Stephen Benton is ruling the table now and just took another big pot off of Svetlana. Looks like if he puts the hammer down we might have a finish pretty soon,.

The Gruesome Threesome

Svetlana, Stephen and Tim

Tuesday, 24th of January 2006 10:33 PM

GOODNESS GRACIOUS GREAT BALLS OF FIRE!

Svetlana raised from the cutoff (and UTG) and Stephen and Tim called. John reraised and got three callers. Four way action! The flop came the 5 7 J . Tim checked, John pushed all in for his final chippage and Svetlana called. Tim and Stephen bowed out of contention. John showed a fat pair of Aces, the A A and Svetlana the 7 7 for a set. Ut oh. The 7 came zooming in on the turn to give her quads and the that was all she wrote.

John Kostin from Hamilton Township, NJ comes in 4th for $12,005

Tuesday, 24th of January 2006 10:29 PM

Whoa nellie, Stephen Benton is on a mighty rush. Before the next hand, he had 435K, John 155K, Tim 245K and Svetlana 240K. So....On the button, Stephen took it up to 30K and John came over the top for another 15K. We have action! Stephen called. The flop came the T 3 6 . John bet and Stephen merely called. The turn came the 7 . Stephen bet and John called this time. The Q hit the river and they both checked the scare card. Stephen turned over the 6 7 for two pair and John showed his pocket eights.

Tuesday, 24th of January 2006 10:26 PM

Why is "phonics" not spelled the way it sounds? (I personally think this is cruel and unusual punishment for those of us who absolutely cannot spell!)

Tuesday, 24th of January 2006 10:12 PM

Svetlana got popped on the river again when Stephen flopped a set and she saw the bets all the way to showdown. She is now down to about 160K. John is at 300K, Stephen at 230K and Tim at 300K. Still anyone's ballgame.

Tim took a mass of chips off Svetlana when four diamonda hit the board on the river and she could not call the 30K bet.

Tuesday, 24th of January 2006 10:02 PM

We bump it up and go to level 17. Blinds are 5K / 15K. We have a new chip leader. YOU GO GIRL!!!

Well, he came into the day barely leading the pack of 38 players. He made some and lost some, but couldnt maintain for the duration. Larry "Zekeness" Lawson moved all in preflop with only 20K left. John Kostin and Tim Dalessandro made the call. Checked down, Tim showed the A 2 to take the pot with three aces. John and Zekeness mucked and takes his leave.

Larry "Zekeness" Lawsonfrom Patterson, NJ is out 5th for $10,290

Tuesday, 24th of January 2006 09:38 PM

I've decided to officially change the name from POKER to POKHELL...... why do we play this game? How can we love to hate a game like this? OK>>>>enough ranting.

On the button, John Kostin raised. Around to Eugene in the big blind, with only 8K left, he had to make the call. He showed the Q 2 and John the K J . The flop was good, not great, but good for Eugene. I came the Q T T . OK. It was open ended for John, but Eugne was in the lead. The 3 came on the turn, and like magic, the 9 landed smack dab in the middle of the river to straighten John up and take Eugene home.

Eugene Ji from New York, NY comes in 6th for $8,575

Tuesday, 24th of January 2006 09:28 PM

Tim rasied UTG and Eugene called in the big blind. The flop arrived the Q Q T . Eugene checked and let Tim fire 10K at the pot. Eugene folded. Eugene is heading for a catastrophe as he is being eaten alive chip at a time.

Tuesday, 24th of January 2006 09:23 PM

In a three way pot, the flop comes the K 8 3 . Eugene bets 10K and Svetlana raised. Time gave it up and Eugene called. The turn brought the 5 . NO action. The 9 on the river and Eugene just checked opening the door for Svetlana to bet 20K. He called. She flipped over the J J for the flush and Eugene sends his cards to the muck and kisses chips good bye as they ship off to Svetlana. She is amassing a pretty nice stack now and is in contention for chip leader.

In the small blind, Patrick Griffin was all in, Stephen Benton was in as big blind and Eugene Ji had called. The flop came the A 9 6 . Stephen checked and Eugene fired 10K at the pot. Stephen wasnt happy as it was two against one there, but, he didnt want to spend another 10K and folded. Eugene turned over the A 5 and Patrick the Q T . The 9 and 8 came next to keep the pair of aces tight and happy. We are down to 6.

Patrick Griffin from Manhatten, NY is out 7th for $6,860

OK. Patrick is down to the felt and shoots it all in UTG. Svetlana, already in for 10K in the big blind, offers another 10K for the taking. She shows the K 5 and Patrick the K J . A 9 Q K A chops it up. Another save.

Tuesday, 24th of January 2006 09:07 PM

Tim was all in with the flop of 2 7 7 . John, the one with the massive stack, didnt call and again, someone stayed alive.

Why is it called "after dark" when it really is "after light"?

Tuesday, 24th of January 2006 09:01 PM

I am a little lost on this one....but here it goes. Zekeness raised, Eugene reraised, folded back around to Zekeness, he reraised and Eugene called. Heads up and Zekeness is left with only 5K. The flop comes teh J 7 3 . Zekeness tossed in his 5K and said "I could use the extra 5K....I surely could use the extra 5K". Eugene thought and then mucked. ????? OK. Zekeness showed the crowd his cards, the AK and tossed them to the muck. Im confused.

Tuesday, 24th of January 2006 08:55 PM

Around and around the chips do go...

This time when Tim and Zekeness got all in, it was Tim in the hotseat. Tim showed the K J and Zekeness the T T . Another race. Immediately, the flop brings the jack, 6J 7 . With the little 3 8moscardsuit:ss} , the chips run back home to Tim and he now feel like he can breath and Zekeness is feeling robbed.

The blinds scoot up a bit; we are now playing with 5K / 10K blinds

Tuesday, 24th of January 2006 08:46 PM

Larry "Zekeness" Lawson felt it comin' and he raised UTG. Around to the small blind, Tim Dalessandro, he reraised and it put the Zekeness all in. We had action. Zekeness turned over a made 8 8 and Tim the A J . Almost even money. The board came out in Zeke's favor. The 3 8 7 . A set for Zekeness and a diamond draw for Tim. The excitement grows..... The turn came the 4 followed by the T and Larry "Zekeness" Lawson does the "I'm da man" dance! HE LIVES!

We have a few hanging by their teeth right now. Something will surely break loose very soon.

Why do "tug" boats push their barges?

Tuesday, 24th of January 2006 08:31 PM

With Svetlana Gromenkova on the button, the early position player, Frank Formica raised. Svetlana reraised and Frank called. The flop came the T T 3 . Frank checked and Svetlana bet. It was called. The turn came the 9 . Frank checked, Svetlana bet and Frank went all in for his remaining 23K. She called. Frank showed the A J and Svetlana turned over the little black pointed aces. Frank was dead on the turn. The river came the 9 . We have our 8th place finisher.

Paybacks are hell. Eugene Ji was all in this time with the A J and Zekeness had the Q J. Well, with the J 9 7 on the board, it looked hopeful for Zeke, but the A fell on the turn and a blank on the river. Eurgene took his booty back plus some.

Tuesday, 24th of January 2006 08:17 PM

Well, I am here to tell you.... The F word is alive and well in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Within a 3 second period, I heard it 4 times....

Larry "Zekeness" Lawson was all in after the turn. 2 4 T 6 and Eugene Ji certainly had him when he showed Q Q . Zekeness showed the A 5 and spiked an ace on the river....and with that....we heard a borage of Mutha ........F*****! Goodness. I am so glad poker has come such a long way!

Why is the third hand on the watch called the second hand?
