Good Morning PokerLand.

Two reports today. In this one I will give you the General Rules and set-up for today's Main Event here at the Grand Tunica. I will also be posting the complete blind structure and then shortly after the first level ends and registration closes, I will put a complete list of entrants with table and seat assignments in this report.

Report #2 will be the action report, begininning when 'Cards are in the Air' and will be titled Main Event: Day One.

The late night and early morning estimates are for more professional 'names' at this event than at the WPO just ended at the Goldstrike a couple of miles away. Several pros lingered in Australia after the events there or simply did not want to deal with major (17 hour) jet lag. Also there are some pros who for a variety of reasons are not playing the WPT tour and several of them have already made appearances here at the Grand. Overall the tournament total entries may be less than the WPO (327) as many local players may have had only one $10,000 buy-in burning a hole in their poker bankroll. We will know is less than two hours.

General Rules: Each level will last 90 minutes. There will e a 10 minute break at the end of each level. Players will start with 10,000 in chips. Play will begin each day at 12 PM, with the exception of the final table. First day will be six (6) levels of play. Second day, play down to twenty-seven (27) players Third day, play down to nine (9) players. Final table will have two hour (120 minute) levels. The final table will begin at 2 PM on Day Four.
