$2,000 No Limit Hold'em
by Tim Lavalli
Friday, 20th of January 2006 07:45 PM Ed Corrado FIRST PLACE $49,475
Friday, 20th of January 2006 07:39 PM Its an amazing skill to learn how to lose all your chips efficiently. Its worth practicing once or twice. When Jay got down to one chip, he got pocket Aces and doubled up. With those two we saw Ed with pocket Aces, Jay drew to two pair. 24 vs. 36, Ed wins with a pair of twos. Are you detecting a pattern? Jay finally went out when all of his 1 chips got rivered by Ed. Friday, 20th of January 2006 07:34 PM Let me make a prediction in exactly three hands: 2nd place Jay Vogel $27,490 There will be a short pause while the players have a conversation. I believe there will be an end to the tournament shortly. Friday, 20th of January 2006 07:19 PM With an opened ender Mike White moves in, he is called by Jay Vogel with top pair and a flush draw and the flush does indeed come. Mike White 3rd place -- $15,120 Friday, 20th of January 2006 07:16 PM Mr White 24K; Ed Corrado 68K; Vogel 130K Friday, 20th of January 2006 07:12 PM Charles Lineberry moves in with AJ and a gut shot straight draw, he gets called by Jay Vogel with a set sevens. The turn makes the draw a double gut shot but it does not come. Charles Lineberry 4th --$10,995 Friday, 20th of January 2006 07:03 PM Daniel Waldberg moves in with Daniel Waldberg 5th place ---- $9,620 Friday, 20th of January 2006 06:46 PM 300 ante 1000/2000 blinds and the gentlemen have requested another break. Ed Corrado wants to tell Julia he loves you Friday, 20th of January 2006 06:38 PM Dan Waldberg puts all his chips in with A2 but has to make a set of deuces to beat two pair from Mike White, no matter Dan doubles up and keeps playing. Friday, 20th of January 2006 06:33 PM Dan let his BB go but gets 4500 into the next pot and its three way action. A big bet post flop from Jay Vogel gets both players to lay down Dan has 4K left. Friday, 20th of January 2006 06:29 PM Dan Waldberg is back on the short stack clock and in the Big Blind. Friday, 20th of January 2006 06:11 PM Randy King moves in with Randy King 6th place -- $8,245 Friday, 20th of January 2006 06:04 PM Short stack: Daniel Walderg 12,100 & Rany King 9,900 Friday, 20th of January 2006 05:49 PM First hand back we have a raise to 4500 from Jason Johnson and all-in from Jay Vogel and a call. Jay shows JJ and Jason shows AK. No help at all on the board. Jason Johnson 7th place --- $6,870 Friday, 20th of January 2006 05:49 PM
Friday, 20th of January 2006 05:33 PM Break, when we come back 200 ante 500/1500 blinds. Friday, 20th of January 2006 05:31 PM Jason Johnson moves in with pocket 8s and gets a call from Jay Vogel with AJ suited. The eights hold up and Jason doubles thru. Friday, 20th of January 2006 05:27 PM I just lent one of my best poker lines to Kaelaine who is reporting the Main Event over at the Goldstrike. Its hard to follow all the players all the time and sometimes you report a player busted only to find them alive and full of chips a few minutes later I told Kaelaine she could use my dodge: "All reports of player bustouts should be considered 94% accurate." At the final tables, like this one, we shoot for a slightly higher percentage. Friday, 20th of January 2006 05:21 PM Hours of Boredom interrupted by moments of Sheer Terror or something like that or thereabouts. A far amount of pre-flop raising here followed by a lot of folding. Friday, 20th of January 2006 05:00 PM and a big CLASH, Glen Robertson and Charles Lineberry get all their chips in, Charles has Glen covered, Glen has 18,300. Glen shows Glen Robertson 8th place ---- $5,500 Friday, 20th of January 2006 04:53 PM Our short stacks, if you can call them that, are: Randy King, Jason Johnson, Daniel Waldberg, & Glen Robertson all between 19K and 23K. Friday, 20th of January 2006 04:44 PM Mr. Corrado makes a similar all-in reraise and takes down the pot. Friday, 20th of January 2006 04:40 PM Mr. Lineberry picks up a nice pot by reraising all -in and thereby inducing a rapid fold. Friday, 20th of January 2006 04:32 PM 100 ante 500/1000 blinds one hour rounds here at the final table Friday, 20th of January 2006 04:30 PM Our first action is big action; Stephen Seibert moves in with TT and gets a call from Mike White with AK. An ace on the flop is all it takes. Stephen Seibert 9th place ----- $4,125 Friday, 20th of January 2006 04:20 PM Average stack has 10 rounds of blinds and antes and 32 Big Blinds. It could be a very long day. Friday, 20th of January 2006 04:15 PM Interesting chip counts to begin today, at players are within 5500 of average, no big stacks and no short stacks. Friday, 20th of January 2006 04:16 PM Friday, 20th of January 2006 04:08 PM 22 minutes left in this level 100 ante 400/800 blinds---Shuffle Up and Do Something!
