.

The flop is the J  9 2 .  Brook bets 300K and Steve, on the button raised 1.2 to take it to 1.5 million.  Brook drags out a bunch of chips and asks Steve how much more he has.  He then  pushed the chips back into his stack and starts doing some calculation.  He has the little "church and steeple" look with his hands up to his mouth.  Brook is really thinking, or putting on a super show.   Steve has zoned in on the board and isnt budging off that lock.  He leans back in his chair now and is chatting either to Steve or to himself.  He takes one last look at his cards and goes back to the tank.  Drumming his fingers on the table rail, he finally makes a decision to push it all in.  Steve immediately calls.  K J  for Brook and a Q  T  for Steve.    Wow.  This is tight.  We are all on the edge of our chairs here.  Brook is ahead by a little, but Steve has tons of outs.  We wait for the turn.  Both players are standing and pacing.  The turn brings the Q  and the crowd shows their elation now that Steve is ahead.  The K  comes on the river and Steve ekes out a straight for the win.  Goodness gracious.  What a hand.  What a finish!  This is gonna make for great TV!!!!    The crowd is clapping for the prowess of these two players.  We have a winner!

Brook limps and Steve checks.  Flop comes the Q Q  6 .  Steve bets 95K and takes the pot.

Tuesday, 10th of January 2006 05:27 PM

Flop comes the 2  A  Q .  Steve bets 250K and Brook folds.

Steve has the button; he makes it 200K to go and Brook calls.  The flop comes the 9 7  K   .  Brook checks and Steve bets 450K.  Brook looks pensive and calls.  Brook is  a sneaky one.  The turn is the 5 .  Checked. The 3  is our river.  Brook checks and Steve tosses in 350K and Brook gives it up.

Tuesday, 10th of January 2006 05:20 PM

Lets do it!  Q  K J on the flop .  Checked.  Kc on the turn.  Checked.  River is the 5 .  Brook fires 200K and Steve folds.

Our Heads up Winners.  These two young men will be vying for the spoils!

And the money is delivered by some Bahamian beauties.

Money money money money........MONEY!

Tuesday, 10th of January 2006 05:00 PM

Steve raised to 250K and David called.  With a flop of the 4 J Q , Steve bet and David came over the top to all in status.  Steve called.  David turned over the K K  and Steve showed the A Q .  David has him by one pip.  The next card came the A  and the crowd just goes nuts.   Steve took the lead with two pair now.  For the crowing blow, the Q  flew in on the river giving Steve a fat full house taking David Singer out in 3rd for $436,200.

Brook and Steve are heads up.  The flop comes the 6 8  2  .   Brook checks and Steve bets 400K.  Brook calls after a little thought.   The turn is the Q .  Brook checks and Steve continues to hammer him by betting 500K.  This time Brook moves all in for 755K more.  Ut oh....  Steve is shaking his head.  He appears to be in a quandry.  He calls.  Steve has a Q J  and Brook has  two black eights.  Steve is drawing dead.  The river comes the 4  and some of the wealth blows back over to Brook.

The final three battle it out. Steve Paul-Ambrose-David Singer-Brook Lyter

Tuesday, 10th of January 2006 04:34 PM

Steve's turn.  He has the button and is first to act.  He makes it 200K to play with him.  David calls and Brook passes.  The flop comes the A 8 7 with two diamonds.  David checks and Steve bets 500K.  David rubs his chin methodically and and raises to another 1 million.  The onus is back on Steve now.  He runs his hands through his hair, places his hand over his mouth and goes into the think mode.  It is very apparent he is distraught.  Oh what to do here.....    This is another back breaking hand and decision.  He raises and is all in.  A 9  for David and the K 2  for a flush draw for Steve.  The crowd is full of Steve supporters and they are all on the edge of their chairs.  The turn comes the A , giving David three of a kind.  The river comes the 4 , Steve makes his flush and the crowd is uncontrollable.  David Singer is not happy.  He is now in the catbird seat after shipping a bunch of his chips to Steve.   Steve is smiling like the cat who ate the canary.

Brook makes it 160K from the button.  No callers.

Tuesday, 10th of January 2006 04:32 PM

David is on the button and is first to act.  He folds.  Brook folds and its a ground skinner for Steve.

From the small blind, David raises to 200K and Brook calls.  The flop comes the 7 7 9 .  David  bets 325K and Brook pushes all in for another 915K.  David is in the hot seat.  He chooses to let it go this time.

Tuesday, 10th of January 2006 04:21 PM

Steve limps from the Button, David limps from the small blind and Brook checks his option.  The flop comes the 8 K 5 .  All check.  The turn comes the J .  David and Brook check opening the door for Steve who bets 125K.  He takes the pot.  That makes 3 in a row for Steve.  He continues to build.

Tuesday, 10th of January 2006 04:13 PM

Steve is down to 1.6 million now.   He picks up the blinds and antes and bolsters his decreasing stack.

Tuesday, 10th of January 2006 04:12 PM

Steve raises to 250K on the button.  David folds and Brook ponders.  He folds.

Tuesday, 10th of January 2006 04:06 PM

Shuffle up and deal.  Blinds are 40K / 80K with a 10K ante.

Button is on Brook Lyter.  He is first to act and he raises to 160K.  Steve Paul-Ambrose looks at his cards and reraises to 500K.  David  Singer passes and Brook moves all in.  Steve calls.  Steve has pocket sevens and Brook pocket kings.  The flop comes the K 6  4 .  Brook nails a set and is sitting pretty.   Steve has a spade and can hit runner runner spades to win or two more sevens.   The  turn is a 9  and Steve is drawing dead.  The 3  comes on the river and chips move back in Brooks direction.

Not sure why, but we are taking another break.

Tuesday, 10th of January 2006 03:56 PM

With the flip of the dealers wrist, the complexion of the game has just changed.

Brook Lyter - 750,000

David Singer - 4,100,000

Tuesday, 10th of January 2006 03:47 PM

David raises from the button to 150K.  Brook calls from the small blind.  Steve calls from the big blind.  We see a flop.  It comes the 9 4 6 .  Brook checks, Steve checks and David makes a move by betting 325K.  Brook folds and Steve checks out the size of David's stack.  HE wants a count.  He thinks for a while and makes the motion for all in status.  David is under the gun now to answer.  This time Steve gets a call.  Steve shows the K 9  and David the T  9 .  Both have top pair but Steve has him outkicked.   This is a crucial hand for David.  The board is a rainbow, so no flush oppotunity.  The turn card comes the 8  and that gives David an additional out for a straight.  The river comes the 7  and OMG.....he catches a gutshot for a straight and  not only stays alive but takes down a monster pot.

Tuesday, 10th of January 2006 03:42 PM

Brook is on the button.  Brook raised to 150K.   Steve makes it 750K to go.  Brook lets it go again.  Steve takes the pot.  Steve is in a very aggresive stance and it is working well for him.

Tuesday, 10th of January 2006 03:38 PM

Brook has the button and is first to act.  He folds, Steve raises to 150K and David folds.  Cards blow everywhere.  This is beautiful, but not conducive to cards, Im telling you that.  I want a coat...that is how windy it is.

Tuesday, 10th of January 2006 03:30 PM

In one of the biggest hands of the tournament, David is on the button and raises to 125K.  Brook calls as does Steve.  The flop comes the 9 7 7 .  Brook checks, Steve bets 175K, David folds and Brook takes it up a notch to 350K.  Steve calls.  The turn comes the K .  Brook bets out with 400K, Steve asks for a count of Brooks remaining chips and then proceeds to move all in.  Brook looks kinda sick as this is life threatening for him.  After a really long trip to the think tank, he finally relinquishes his hand and kisses his chips adios.

Tuesday, 10th of January 2006 03:25 PM

Well, we are up, but we aint runnin'.  The night the light went out in Nassau, we had the button on Brook Lyter, Steve Paul-Ambrose had raised to 150K and we were waiting for David to act.  Soon dear readers, ..soon...OK.......David takes it to 500K and Steve folds.  Whew....that was the longest hand in the history of poker I think.
