{mostime:12/12/2005 11:46}

I will be reporting live from a crowded Fontana Room from when official entry numbers will be released.

{mostime:12/11/2005 23:45}

Jack McClelland was beaming; 479 players in the Super yesterday and 493 today. I could not resist a vacation visit to the Bellagio .Isabelle Mercier was playing in the Super. Yes, I

{mostime:12/11/2005 12:20}

The Seniors event was shortened to a two day event ; Tom Lock of Henderson in first ($137,195 ) defeating my buddy Minneapolis Jim Meehan in second place ( $66,415 ) .

Jim Meehan

{mostime:12/10/2005 13:14}

A big hello to 24th place Mike Appel and his lovely girlfriend .Sorry bloggers .I know you must
think I have become Charlie Bigtime on you. The real reason I did not attend the Bloggers convention was that Bolton Wanderers were on TV .

{mostime:12/10/2005 1:47}

With only 30 minutes before the buffet closed I asked Jack McClelland if we were going on dinner
break . The look on his face was priceless but no words were spoken . So I asked the players if
anyone was hungry . Then Jack said it was my treat . So I left .Gallery

$5K NLHE: We have a winner.

1) Tom Franklin Gulfport $434,025

2) John Gale London UK $252,325

Winner Tom Franklin

{mostime:12/09/2005 23:38}

The very next hand, with the stacks even, John pushes all in with A Q; a pretty nice heads up hand. However Cpt. Tom has A K. The board contained an ace but the King played.

{mostime:12/09/2005 23:23}

Tom Franklin was all in with A 6 vs John Gale’s K Q. John was ahead on the turn but not after the
river when the river delivers trips to Franklin with a board of 6 7 9 Q 6 .

{mostime:12/09/2005 23:18}

Wow. Steve back. I am so pleased to have the chance to see John Gale play out this one. The report
will probably become less technical now.

{mostime:12/09/2005 22:25}

Three handed (blinds at 20,000 - 40,000) and Scott doesn't have much time. Tom Franklin bets 145,000 on the button to put Scott "all-in", The flop is Ace 2 King giving Scott and his Ace 8 the lead over Tom's two 4s. The turn card is a 9. But the river is a 4 giving Franklin a set.

Scott Bohlman the third place finisher collects $76,580.

{mostime:12/09/2005 22:10}

On Break

Quick count

John Gale 1,400,000
Scott Bohlman 200,000
Tom Franklin 930,000

{mostime:12/09/2005 21:50}

}

Chris subbing while Steve gets some light refreshment

Billy Corrigan had been slowly losing chips for a while four handed and it came as no surprise when he re-rised John Gale's raise for 160,000 all-in.John called , he held Acee Jack of spades , Billy sportin g King Queen offsuit . The flop pretty well said it all though when it came Ace 8 Jack. Running Queens or Kings or one of the 10s would get Billy out of this. A lowly 4 and 3 rounded out the board and
Bill Corrigan has to be content with 4th placing and $41,765.
