I am so relaxed right now it is scary! Not a care or a worry in the
world. And I'm feeling great going into the next couple weeks. Did a
fantasy draft last week when I got back from DR with Monkey and Joe Cutler. I
anxiously await the trash talking more than the actual league itself. All
kidding aside, I think I like my team a lot and if my top picks can avoid
season ending injuries in week 1, I might have a shot.
I really laid low
over the past week, disappeared for a few days, got a chance to spin the Price Is Right wheel for the first time in life! I had waited for that
forever... 20 cents on the first spin, followed up by 65 cents! I'll take it! Ha. That is when my whole life changed forever... I mean forever. I must
warn you, this could potentially change your life. I had my first
experience with deep fried Oreo cookies. OH GOOD GOD! I mean,
words are unable to describe the joy I experienced while biting into what is
basically like a zeppoli stuffed with an oreo that is melted into the
dough... covered with powdered sugar on top. Could be the best thing I have
ever tasted in my whole life.
I needed a minute after thinking about those... Wooh, I'm okay again. So
then there was my live football draft earlier today which was a blast. It was
a different kind of draft, auction style, but way more complicated. I reallllly
like my team in that league, and I did that with Al "Wounded Bear" Riccobono,
who I then drove down to Borgata with. My boy Acap, who actually quit his job
today as a high risk bonds trader or something like that, will be joining us at Borgata later in the
week. I personally guarantee Acap wins a tournament by years end. Not
because he is good. Just because he was so miserable with his office job that
he has no choice but to win something so he doesn't have to get a job
again. I'm putting my money where my mouth is, as he will have a full
stake for as long as it takes for him to get on his feet. And I was
kidding. He is good enough to do this, and he is giving it a shot, so I
expect big things coming from him! The best part about the draft was
that Wounded Bear was buying dinner, and when your in a downswing like I've
been in, you know an opportunity when you see one, I enjoyed my 7 course meal,
thanks Al!

I got to Borgata a few hours ago and signed up for tomorrows
$350 tourney, where there will probably be around 1,500 people in the tournament. That's my guess. I won this same type of tournament here in January, there
was over 1,600 players and it paid over $100k for first!!! $350 turned into
$100k, I could sure use that again! So I usually like to go and play a few
hands of blackjack when I first get somewhere that I'm going to be for a while
to get an idea of how the trip is going to go. So Al and I met up with my boy
Tyson, we all threw down $100 each, doubled up our $300 to $600 and called it
a night! PERFECT!
I snuck into the ballroom and took some pictures of
the massive tournament area all setup before any of the action begins. Its
actually amazing to think that this is the last time this room will be empty
for the next 2 weeks. I'm going to take some pictures of what the room looks
like tomorrow when it is jam packed and I'll put up the before and afters
again. Its getting late, I really have a great feeling over here. I'll be
updating regularly from over here, so stay tuned!
