Champ Steve Sung
There was a big all-in this hour as Steve Sung eliminated James Matz III. Matz in the small blind decided to limp and Steve Sung raised to 400,000. Matz made the call.

The flop came Q 5  10 and Matz bets 475,000. Steve Sung comes over the top and raises to 1.1 million. Matz moves all in and Sung calls. Matz shows 5  4  for a pair of 5's and Sung shows Kh JS for an open ended straight draw. The turn was good for Matz as it was an 8 . However, the river was not as kind as it was an A . Sung made broadway and eliminated Matz in 3rd place. He will take home $313,826.

The players are now heads up. It is between crowd favorite Steve Sung and Peter Vilandos.

On a flop of 5  6  A  8  Steve Sung bet and took the first heads up hand.

They played in a pot where on a flop of 7  J  9  Vilandos checked, and Sung bet 160,000. Vilandos made the call. The turn brings the 10  and both players check. The river card was a 6  and Vilandos checked once more. Sung bet out 425,000 and Vilandos made the call. Sung showed 10  6  for two pair and won the pot.

The final hand of the night came when Steve Sung and Pete Vilandos were all-in. Steve Sung had K  K  and Pete Vilandos showed 8 8 . The board came A  2  7  6  7  and Vilandos was eliminated in second place. Steve Sung stimulated his wallet with the first place prize of $771,106.

There has not been too much action since the players came back from break. The blinds are 80,000-160,000 with a 20,000 ante.

Steve Sung was able to raise a couple of pots pre-flop and take it down.

Steve Sung and Peter Vilandos were in a pot together. On a flop of 2  6  Q , Vilandos checks and Sung checks. The turn brings the 8  and Vilandos checks over to Sung who bets and Vilandos instantly raises and takes the pot.

Keep it here for the rest of the action. The players will play until a winner  is crowned.

Players took a short break, and when play continued so did Steve Sung’s reign over the table…

Nathan Mullen moved all in with J 10 , and was called by Steve carrying A  7 .  Larry Sidebotham thinks about moving in as well, but decides to fold.  The flop comes K  Q  J , giving  Nathan a pair and Steve a straight draw.  The turn delivers a 6 .  Nathan was still safe from elimination.  Brutally, the river is a 10  giving Steve the win to knock Nathan Mullen out in 5th place.

Steven Sung now has over half the chips in play.

James Matz III knocks Larry Sidebotham out in 4th place.  Larry moved all in as the short stack on the button.  James called turning over A  7  against Larry’s Q  J .  The board came 2  3  9  3  9 , sending James packing.

It is now down to the final three!

Players took a 20 minute break at the beginning of the hour.

James Matz II raised to 300k from under the gun, and it folded around to Nathan Mullen who was in the big blind.  Nathan had about 1.3 million in chips and moved all in.  James thought for a long moment and then folded his pocket deuces face up.

Steve Sung has been picking on Dan Heimiller and has officially taken control of this final table. After the board came 4  J  8  5 , Dan bet 350k.  Steve sat for a moment and then said he was all in.  For the second time, Dan mucked his cards to Steve’s all in bet.

Dan Heimiller then limped in, and Steve raised 350k in the small blind.  Pete Vilandos made the call, and when it got to Dan to make a decision he moved all in.  Steve called the all in and Pete folded his hand.  Steve turned over A  Q , and Dan showed A  K  totally dominating Steve.  The board came out 3  Q  6  3  2 , giving Steve the win.  Dan Heimiller finished 6th place.

Jeff Oakes was eliminated in 7th place earning him $126,613.  Sung continued to voice his aggression by raising preflop to 220k.  Jeff saw his opportunity and pushed in the big blind for 460k.  Sung called with A  Q  and Jeff tabled pocket fives.  Sung flopped an ace, and just for an extra stab in Jeff’s side, an ace fell on the river as well.

In the last level Sung has made a comeback.  After knocking Jeff Oakes out, he fired at a couple of hands to get his opponents to fold without a showdown.  He is now sitting at a healthy 2 million in chips.

Larry Sidebotham moved all in over the top of Dan Heimiller raise.  It was over 650k more for Dan to call.  He ended up folding his hand to Larry, but not before showing the Ac.

Steve Sung wins another huge pot from Dan Heimiller.  After Dan  raised and Steve made the call, the flop came out 8d Ad 10s.  Steve bet 300k, and Dan called.  The J  on the turn gave Steve the confidence to bet 650k.  Dan raised 850k more.  Steve thought for a bit and then announced he was all in.  Dan mucked his hand.

Steve Sung is having a hard time keeping his chips in front of him.  First he got into a hand with Nathan Mullen who raised to 165k.  Steve called, and Dan Heimiller called from the big blind.  The flop came out 6  8  9 .  Dan and Nathan both checked to Steve who bet 340k.  Dan called and Nathan folded.  The turn was the 7 .  Dan bet out 400k, and Steve was forced to fold.  This was quite a blow to Steve’s stack.

In another hand Steve raised preflop and Nathan called.  Steve continuation bet the flop, and Nathan raised 500k on top.  Steve folded.

Players are on a 10 minute break.

Players took a short 10 minute beak.  When play resumed Phong Hunyh made his exit from the final table.  Phong limped from middle position, and James made it 200k to go.  Larry made the call and so did Phong.  The board came out J  4  3  and all three players checked.  The turn came a 7 , and Larry made it 370k.  Phong made the call, but James pushed all in for 1.2 million.  Larry reluctantly folded, and Phong made the call.  Phong turned over 3  3  for bottom set, and James turns J  J  for top set.  The river was a blank and Phong exited the stange in 8th place.  Although a painfull loss, Phong takes home $117,414.

Dan Heimiller has been holding on to his chip lead for some time, but he just lost a huge pot to Pete Vilandos.  Dan limped under the gun, and Pete made it 205,000.  The big blind, Larry Sidebotham folded.  Dan made the call.  The flop came 8  4  3 .  Both players checked, and the turn came a 5 .  Pete made it 200k, and Dan raised to 500k.  Pete made the call.  The river came a 6  to which Pete checked.  Dan bet 600k, and Pete called.  Dan turned over 4  4 , and Pete showed K  2  for the straight.
