Champ Jorg Peisert

And the winner is … Jorg Peisert!  He grabbed the chip leadership and never let go, gathering more and more chips as the night went along.

In the final hand of the night Peisert raised to 180K.  Jason DeWitt decided to move all-in.  Peisert, who has called a number of all-in bets all night, made the call.  Peisert had red Nines and DeWitt showed K 4 .  Peisert was way ahead.  The Flop came 7 A 7 for Nines and Sevens with an Ace kicker. DeWitt needed a King. The Turn 6 was safe for Peisert and so was the T on the River.  DeWitt finished in 2nd place and took home $313,227.  Peisert won $506,800 and a gold bracelet for 1st place.  Congratulations!

Jason Somerville moved all-in from the Small Blind and was called by Jason DeWitt.  Somerville showed K7 and Dewitt had A6.  Neither player connected with the Flop, Turn or River.  DeWitt’s A6 held up and Somerville exited in 5th place.

Chip leader Jorg Peisert got another chance to eliminate Michael Noda.  Peisert put in a raise from the Button and Noda reraised for over 400K from the Small Blind.  Peisert refused to back down and re-reraised.  Noda then re-re-reraised all-in and Peisert called.  Noda’s A Q was ahead of Peisert’s J T .  The K 4 2 Flop gave Noda a back door flush draw.  Peisert paired his Ten on the Turn (T ).  The 9 on the River wad a good bye card for Noda who was eliminated in 4th place.  More chips for Peisert.

Ben Gilbert moved all his chips in (over 550K) before the Flop and Mr. Chip leader Jorg Peisert called.  Gilbert showed 9 5 and Peisert A 8 .   Peisert paired his Ace on the Flop A 7 7 .  Gilbert needed runners.  Unfortunately, the T on the Turn wasn’t a card he needed and he was drawing dead.  The River was the 9h and Gilbert will be collecting the 3rd place prize money.

Chip leader Jorg Peisert raised to 150K, which is only three time the Big Blind.  Michael Katz reraised all-in.  Peisert called and showed a pocket pair of three.  Katz had Fours.  The Flop was cruel to Katz as Peisert made a set of Threes on the Flop of 2 5 3 .  Katz still had an open ender.  The next two cards were the 8 and 7 neither of which were beneficial for Katz.  Katz exited in 6th place and the rich get richer as Peisert picked up more chips.

Michael Noda made it 75K more preflop.  Only Peisert in the Big Blind called.  The Flop came A Q 3 .  Peisert took forever just to decide to check. Noda then took so long that I was about to throw a yellow flag at him for delay game.  Noda slid all of his chips to the middle.  Peisert didn’t take nearly as long to fold.

Jason DeWitt raised preflop and Jorg Peisert called. The flop was T 6 5 .  Peisert was first and bet.  DeWitt called.  The next card was the K .  Peisert bet again, this time for 165K.  DeWitt raised to 400K.  Undeterred Peisert pushed all his chips in.  DeWitt decided it wasn’t worth it and folded.

Now chip leader, Jorg Peisert raised 100K preflop and Jason Somerville called with a discount from the Big Blind.  The Flop was 5 6 T and Somerville checked, but watched Peisert intently as he played with his chips.  Peisert bet 6 green (25,000) chips and one orange (5000) chip.  Somerville then check-raised all-in.  Peisert took some time to think about the hand and eventually thought better or it and folded.

Players went on a 20 minute break.

Michael Katz opened for a raise and was called by Jason DeWitt from the BB. THe flop was Q 9 6 and both players checked. They also checked the 6 when it came on the turn. J showed up on the river and Katz relinquished his hand to a bet from DeWitt.

Jorg Peisert raised from middle position, and then Jason Somerville re-raised all-in from the button. Peisert tanked before deciding to make the call with K T . Somerville turned over A K . The board ran out 7 5 9 Q Q , and with neither player improving, Somerville took the pot.

William Erickson moved all-in pre flop and was looked up by Jorg Peisert. Peisert was holding Q Q while Erickson held A T . Peisert was able to avoid an A as the cards fell 6 8 3 K 6 . Erickson was sent to the rail in 8th place and will take home $53,622 for his effort.

The players are back from dinner and ready to get back into the action. Unfortunately the action isn't to be found yet. The remaining 8 players are very cautious at this point. Every raise or re-raise (including 3 all-ins) has been enough to win the hand. We have yet to see a flop after the break.

Michael Noda was on the button, and he pushed the rest of his chips into the middle. He got looked up by William Erickson who was holding Q Q . Noda had A 3 , and as the board ran out K T 6 8 8 he would take a big hit to his stack and double-up Erickson.

Michael Noda moved all-in pre flop holding J J . Jason Somerville re-raised and got all others at the table to fold. Somerville turned over 9 9 , but was in bad shape against the J's of Noda. The board wouldn't be any help to Somerville as it ran out 4 T 6 Q 4 .

Jason DeWitt raised from the button before Karga Holt shoved all-in from the BB. After tanking for a short time, DeWitt made the call and turned over his A 9 . Holt tabled K 8 . The board ran out K T 3 Q 8 , giving Holt the win and the double-up.

The players are now on a one hour dinner break which should bring them back to the felt around 6:40pm Vegas time. Stay tuned to Poker Pages for all the live action after dinner.

William Erickson raised from UTG, and Karga Holt re-raised all-in from the CO. Everyone folded back to Erickson who made the call, putting himself at risk. Erickson turned over J J while Holt showed A T . No help would come for Holt as the cards came down K 8 7 5 K .

Jason DeWitt called the raise from Michael Katz and the two went to the flop. A K 8 came, and it went check check. 3 on the turn and both players checked again. T fell n the river and Katz check-called a bet from DeWitt. Katz showed his K Q to beat the 9 8 of DeWitt.

Jason Somerville moved all-in from the BB after facing a raise from Michael Katz in the CO position. Katz called and turned over A K . Somerville was in the lead holding K K , and his K's stayed good as the board ran out Q 7 3 J 2 .

The final 10 players have been moved to one table to continue the action. Apparently they were supposed to move over to the secondary feature table but it wasn't prepared.

Max Greenwood raised from UTG, Jason Somerville called, and then Jorg Peisert re-raised from the BB. Greenwood shoved, Somerville folded, and Peisert made the call. Greenwood showed J J while Peisert was holding A K . The board ran out A Q 7 4 3 , giving Peisert the win and the elimination. Greenwood will take home $33,281 for his 10th place finish.

After a raise from Jason DeWitt in the CO position, Wes Watson moved all-in and DeWitt called. Watson turned over 7 7 while DeWitt was holding K J . The cards came down Q 4 3 J T . DeWitt's J's were good enough to eliminate Watson who goes out in 9th place and will take home $47,070 in prize money.

An Tran pushed all-in from middle position, and then Jason DeWitt moved all-in behind him. All other players folded and it was Tran Vs. DeWitt. DeWitt was holding K K while Tran had A T . Tran would find no help when the board came down Q 3 2 8 K . Tran was sent to the rail in 15th place and will take home $24,725 in prize money.

Joe Patrick raised on the button, Benjamin Gilbert moved all-in from the BB, and Patrick called. Gilbert held J J and was up against the 8 8 of Patrick. Gilbert's J's stayed good as the cards fell A A A 2 J . Patrick was sent packing in 14th place and will take home $24,725 for his effort.

Alex Millar had come in to today 2nd in chips, but was eliminated when he got it all-in with 8 8 , and was looked up by Michael Katz with A Q . The board came down J Q 7 7 T , knocking Millar out in 13th place. He will receive $24,725 for his finish.

Eric Lynch was eliminated in 12th place when his pocket 9's ran into the pocket Q's of Benjamin Gilbert. The board brought no help to Lynch and he was gone. Lynch will take home $33,281 for his 12th place finish.

The final 16 players have taken their seats, and the cards are in the air.

Vladimir Kochelaevskiy moved all-in pre fop and was looked up by Alex Millar. Millar held A 2 while Kochelaevskiy was holding Q T . Kochelaevskiy got the double-up when the board ran out J 4 T 4 6 .

Jason Somerville opened the action pre flop, and Jason DeWitt called from the BB. The flop was A 7 2 , and DeWitt check-called a bet from Somerville. K on the turn and it went check check. 8 showed up on the river and both players checked again. DeWitt turned over A 5 , and Somerville mucked.

Jorg Peisert opened the action and was re-raised by Alex Millar from the SB. Peisert moved all-in over the top and Millar made the call. Peisert was holding A A while Millar had 9 9 . The board ran out 5 3 J 7 K giving Peisert the double-up.

Vladimir Kochelaeskiy was all-in after a series of raising between himself and Michael Katz. When the raiseing was done, Kochelaeskiy turned over A A , and was up against the K Q of Katz. Kochelaevskiy looked to be in good shape, but when the flop came down A J T Katz had snatched the lead. Kochelaevskiy couldn't catch up and he would be eliminated by the pocket Q's of Peisert the very next hand. Kochelaevskiy will take home $19,068 for his 16th place finish.

Sixteen players return today and each has a guarantee that he'll walk away with no less than $19,068. They all want to walk away with the first place prize of $506,800. Right now Jason Dewitt has the biggest stack and thus the best chance to do just that. Also in the running are Eric 'Rizen' Lynch and An Tran. It’s the Triple Chance $3,000 NLHE Event and Poker Pages is the place to stay abreast of the action. The cards get shuffled and dealt at 1 p.m. PDT.
