Well, that was quick.Michael Davis kicked off an unbelievably short heads-up match with the double up from the last update, and less than 20 minutes later, it was all over. The last hand was another preflop all in. Buller raised on the button and Davis reraised to 600,000. Buller pushed all his chips in and Davis called. Buller's A J had Davis' A 9 in a lot of trouble and the flop of 5 4 3 affected nothing. The turn brought the 9 and the crowd went wild. 4 ended the hand and the tournament. Michael Davis took down a beautiful WSOP championship bracelet and $437,358 for his win, while runner-up Scott Buller's finish was worth $268,507.
Wednesday, 24th of June 2009 10:00 PM (Dane Young reporting)And just like that, we are down to two. Charles Simon got stuck with Ace-Queen against Scott Buller's Ace-King. Buller raised it up under the gun and Simon shoved from the small blind. The flop was dry, and a King on the river and Nine on the end sent Simon out of the tournament. He received $95,332 for his fifth place finish. Michael Morusty was the next to get involved with Bull(doz)er. Buller raised under the gun again and it folded around to Morusty in the big blind. Morusty reraised after a bit of banter and Buller decided to shove. Morusty snap-called him with Aces, way ahead of Buller's A K . The flop was a doozy, K 8 3 , giving Buller a flush draw and a chance to find another King. The turn was the 4 , ending Morusty's run and the 7 came on the end to make it uglier. Morusty took fourth place and $126,863. Buller had no hand in the next bust out. Michael Davis raised on the button and Bounds decided now was the time to move all in. Davis called him with As Qs, domainating Bounds' Ah 6d. The flop was a blank 7 4 2 , but the 5 on the turn gave Bounds a straight draw and Davis a flush draw. The magic 8 came on the river, but it was a , which meant Davis' flush would take the pot down and eliminate Bounds from the tournament. His third place prize was a paltry $179,210. Scott Buller and Michael Davis settled in for their heads up match and immediately got to putting the chips in the middle. They got it all in with Buller on Nines and Davis on Aces. Davis flopped a set and it held up to double through Buller.
Wednesday, 24th of June 2009 09:00 PM (Dane Young reporting)Play had been slow for a while after losing three players in a short period. Dan Delatorre was victimized by Cowboys after moving in from under the gun for 600,000. Michael Morusty's Kings had Delatorre's Q 4 crushed and no help appeared, sending Delatorre to the rail to collect his $76,118 6th place prize money. We are now down to these five players: Scott Buller: 2,675,000 Michael Davis: 1,100,000 Charles Simon: 1,275,000 Michael Morusty: 1,670,000 Barry Bounds: 1,250,00

We lost three more players this hour.
The first out was Robert Beck. Beck moved all in on the Flop (J 8 6 ). Michael Morusty called. Beck had made a pair of Jacks with his (K J ). Morusty had made a set of Sixes with his pocket Sixes. The Turn was the 9 and the River the Q . Beck was our #9 finisher for today.
Richard McCall was next. He moved all in on the Flop (Q 7 2 ) and Dan DeLatorre called. McCall had top pair with his Q J , but was drawing close to dead against DeLatorre’s K J . The K on the Turn meant McCall was drawing dead, but in case you wanted to know, the 6
Art Duncan’s departure would leave only six players at the table. Duncan raised all-in over Charles Simon’s preflop raise. Simon called with his K Q and Duncan showed K J . The Flop was A Q 6 and Duncan’s day was over. He would need runner to pull out a win. The 3 on the Turn and 9 on the River meant he was out in 7th.

Wednesday, 24th of June 2009 06:00 PM (O'Keeya Singleton reporting)
We’re down to one table. Ten players are left. We lost three players this hour.
Tom Thomas was out in 12th place. He moved all-in on the AsKc3s Flop and one player called. Thomas showed his Kd4h, but was dominated by his opponents KsJh. The Qc came on the Turn and the Tc on the River gave the other player's overkill straight and Thomas was out leaving us down to 11 players.
Ted Garner left in 11th place today. He moved all in preflop and was called by Richard McCall. Garner showed Big Slick and McCall pocket Nines. No Aces, no kings or connecting card fell to save Garner and he was out.
Mitch Garshofsky was eliminate in 10th place, leaving us with an official final table. Garshofsky moved all-in preflop and was called by Art Duncan. Garshofsky showed his pocket Kings and Duncan had AsQs. The Flop came 2d7h9s, no change. The Turn Ac put Duncan ahead with Aces. The Queen on the river just laughed at Garshofsky, who was headed to the Rio Carnival Buffet.

Four players went out this hour. Play is down to 12 players and two tables.
Ted McCollom exited in 16th place. The Small Blind limped and so did McCollom in the Big Blind. The Flop was 7 5 4 . The Small Blind bet 75K and McCollom raised all-in over the top for 160K. The Small Blind called and turned over A 7 for top pair. McCollom had A 6 for the open ender and backdoor flush. The Turn T ended hope for the backdoor draw and the 6 ended things for McCollom.
Next to go was Steven Schwartz. He opened by moving all-in and found one caller waiting. Schwartz showed black Sevens, but his heart sank when he saw two red Queens on the other side of the table. Things didn’t get any batter when another a Queen fell on the Flop along with 3 5 . The 9 on the Turn official ended Schwartz’s day as the 6d River didn’t matter. Schwartz finished in 15th place.
Duffy Riebe would be the 14th place player. Duffy moved all-in calling a preflop raise. He showed 8 3 and the raiser had pocket Nines. The board paired twice. With only one spade, and no Eights or Threes to assist Riebe, he was out.
Alan Hance was the most recent player to go bust. He raised all-in for 107K and found a caller. Hance’s A T was dominated by an opposing A Q . The Flop was 4 J 4 , meaning that if the board paired again the hand would be a push. The 9 on the turn didn’t help and neither did the 6 on the River. Hance finished in 13th.
Wednesday, 24th of June 2009 04:00 PM (O'Keeya Singleton reporting)
Four more players were shown the door this hour.
The first was Michael Vitullo. He moved all in preflop and was called by Dan DeLatorre who already had money invested in the pot. Vitullo flipped over his A 5 and DeLatorre had pocket Aces. The Flop came 7 J K and Vitullo picked up a backdoor flush draw. That draw turned more promising when the 9 fell on the Turn, but remained incomplete with a 5 on the River. Vitullo was out of the tournament in 20th place.
Next out was David Posey. He raised from the cutoff and was reraised by the button. Posey had to put all his chips in to call and he did. Posey showed A Q and did not want to see the button’s pocket Queens. Posey need an Ace. The Flop was the K 5 5 . No help for Posey. The Turn (T ) and the River (4 ) couldn’t save Posey, who was off to collect his 19th place winnings.
18th place was reserved for Ken Centanni. He moved all in before the Flop and Barry Bounds and another player called him. The Flop was T 9 3 and both side pot players checked. The Turn was the 3 and Bounds checked-called a 60K bet. For some reason the third player turned over his hand (3 3 ) before the River cards was even dealt. With Quad threes, he could have tried to beef up the side pot on the River, but perhaps because of nervousness just turned over his hand prematurely. The River 6 had no meaning and Bound tossed his hand and Centanni could make plans for a nice dinner.
The last player eliminate this hour was Tony Brenner. Brenner and two other players limped to the Flop which came J 9 A . Brenner moved all-in on the Flop. One player called. Brenner had A K for top pair top kicker, but the other player had J 9 for Jacks-Up. The Turn was the 6 . The River a 2 and Brenner was out in 17th place.
Players have gone on a 20 minute break.

Five players were lost during the last hour.
John Bennett was the first eliminated this hour. John Bennett from the Small Blind called an all-in raise by the button. Barry Bounds in the Big Blind also called. The Flop was J 9 7 . Bennett shoved his chips all in and Bounds called. Bennett showed his A 3 and Bounds had A 7 . The original all-in player showed K 2 for the flush draw. Bennet was is bad shape, he could not win with an Ace or the heart flush. Bounds paired his seven and was in good shape to take the side pot. Bounds could scoop both pots with running Sevens, running Aces or running Ace and Seven combo. The Q on Turn assured Heiberg the main pot, Bounds the side pot and Bennett the 25th place prize.
Aldolpho “Speedy” Gonzalez was the next man out. He moved all-in preflop with K J and raced against a pair of Fives. Gonzalez never connected to the board and was out in 24th place.
Gioi Luong day ended with the 23rd place prize. He moved all-in preflop with A 7 and had to try to catch up to pocket Jacks. Luong had hope on the Flop when two hearts came. No more hearts materialized and Luong was out.
Marvin Darnold finished 22nd.
Jeff Heiberg was Mr. not-so-lucky 21 today. Heiberg moved all-in on the Flop with K J , having made a pair of Jacks for middle pair. Bounds called with A Q , having made top pair Aces. The Turn and River were duds and Heiberg is out.

The final 28 players have arrived to the Amazon room. Level: Ante: 2,000 SB: 8,000 BB: 16,000 Chip leader Tom Thomas lost a huge pot the first hand. We did not see the action but he doubled up Dan DeLatorre to around 600,000 losing a good portion of his stack. Chuck McCormick eliminated in 28th place: Chuck McCormick was all in preflop against Mitch Garshofsky and Charles Simon. Simon and Garshofsky checked a flop of 9 9 4 and a turn of a 7 . On the river of a 5 , Garshofsky bet 100,000 into the side pot and Simon folded. Garshofsky turns over A K for the second nut flush. Chuck McCormick turned over Q X for the 3rd nut flush and is eliminated earning $10,149. The players then redrew to the final 3 tables.
A player raised the action. Adolfo "Speedy" Gonzalez pushed his chips in and turned up his cards of Q T . The tournament director was quickly called over as the original raiser did not put enough in the pot to have Speedy covered. He would need to call an additional 26,000 knowning Speedy's cards. He was pot committed and did decide to call and showed Q9 offsuit. The board came 86454 and Speedy doubled up. After the hand, Speedy was issued a one round penalty for turning over his hole cards before the other player called him.
In the meantime, Clyde Reed was eliminated in 27th Place: He was all in preflop with AA and was called by Alan Hance who held K J . Reed was looking to double up, however, two jacks came on the board and Reed was eliminated in 27th place earning $12,784.
