Rouhani mucked his hand unable to beat Lisandros trip deuces. This hand put Rouhani at under a million in chips.
Lisandro was able to whittle Rouhani down to a very short stack. In a series of all in moments, Rouhani was able to stay alive and chop the pot. We have now seen over 5 all in hands where the pot was split. Rouhani was able to double up his short stack with two pair of sixes and sevens against Lisandro’s pair of tens. However, Lisandro kept the pressure on Rouhani. There were a few split pots, and then Lisandro was able to take a few down by 6th street. Rouhani had the bring in with the 2 showing. Lisandro completed, and Rouhani raised. Lisandro made it threebets, and Rouhani made it four. Lisandro called. It was checked by both players on 4th street. Sunday, 21st of June 2009 02:00 AM (Jackie Witt Reporting) All the tournaments in the Amazon Room have wrapped up or finished for the night, and this is the last tournament still going on. Even at the late hour, there are spectators rooting on Jeff Lisandro and Farzad Rouhani. So far, this is turning out to be a back and forth battle.
After a few pots going Rouhani’s way, he was up to over 3 million in chips and Lisandro was around 1.8 million.
Rouhani continued to put the pressure on Lisandro. Rouhani was betting the whole way with Lisandro calling behind. On 5th street Rouhani was showing queens against Lisandro’s 8 K 2 . Rouhani bet, and Lisandro had to let it go.
Players are now in level 28 with a 20,000 ante, 30,000 bring in, 100,000 completion, and 100,000/200,000 limit.
With these limits, it only took Lisandro a small pots to gain his momentum back. Then he was able to scoop a pot from Rouhani to take the chip lead back. It might be a long night at the final table.

Jeff Lisandro and Farzad Rouhani are fairly close in chips. Lisandro has 2,150,000 and Rouhani has the lead with 2,860,000. This could mean a long night of chopped pots.

Mariani was low in chips after losing a hand to Rouhani holding just a pair of queens. He was able to double up off of Jeff Lisandro after betting throughout the hand and getting called by Lisandro. Mariani was able to scoop the pot with sixes and deuces for two pair and an 8-6-4-2-A low. Lisandro missed his draws and shipped his chips over to Mariani.
Mike Wattel lost some chips after Lisandro completed the bet, and both Wattel and Rouhani called. Everyone checked 4th street. 5th street saw Lisandro check, and Watter bet. Yan Chen only had 19k remaining after he was the bring in with the 7 showing. He went all in for the rest of his chips and Farzad Rouhani made the call. This is how the boards ran out:
Chen: (A 2 ) 7 K J 2 (T ) Rouhani: (5 6 ) A 6 T 3 (X)
A pair of sixes was enough for Rouhani to take down the pot and eliminate Chen in 5th place.
Players are just coming back from a 20 minute break, and will continue four way action.
Saturday, 20th of June 2009 09:00 PM (Jackie Witt Reporting) Jeff Lisandro completed after Abe Mosseri brought it in. Yan Chen reraised, and Lisandro was the lone caller. Mariani would triple up, and Chen won the side pot to stay alive.
