Trading Chips:

After a lot of back and forth action, Brock Parker has taken a slight lead in chips, and even though he has, he hasn't quite stolen the momentum as Joe Serock continues to grind along with Parker. We'll have to keep watching to see which one of these players will take a firm hold of the game, and make the final push towards the bracelet. For Parker this would be his 2nd bracelet in a week, and accomplishment I'm sure he would love to complete. We are seeing some flops now, but still no real big pots as the 2 go head to head.

Of course, just as I said this, we see one of our biggest pots since getting to heads-up. With over 2 million in the pot after the flop of 6 K 9 , both players check the 5 on the turn, and when the Q came out on the river both checked again. Brock turned over K 8 to beat Serock's T 8 to win the pot and increase his lead.

And in the very next hand:

Joe Serock moved all-in holding pocket T's and was called by Brock Parker and his pocket Q's. Serock couldn't catch the T he needed and he would go out as the runner-up in this event. As I said, this is Parker's 2nd bracelet in a week, an amazing accomplishment by a very good poker player. Congratulations on the bracelet and the $552,745 first place prize money. Joe Serock will take home $341,783 for his 2nd place finish.

Russell Crane Out in 3rd:

Russell was getting seriously short-stacked, and decided J T was good enough to get it into the middle. He was called by Joe Serock who held A 9 . Serock got his 9 on the flop, but Crane was drawing to an inside straight as it came down 9 5 7 . The A on the turn gave Serock A's up, and the 6 on the river would not be good enough to keep Crane alive. He goes out in 3rd place and earns $220,633 in prize money.

Since then it's been small-ball poker as both players continue to take down small pots. Brock Parker is attempting to chip away at Joe Serock's chip lead, but Joe is continuing to play well, and isn't looking to get loose in order to get the quik knock-out. We might be in for a long battle.

We've lost 2 more players within the last hour now:

First to go was Alex Wilson. In just the 4th hand back from the dinner break, Parker raised from the button, and was called by Joe Serock. Alex then moved all-in over the top and Parker folded while Serock made the call to put Wilson's tournament life at risk. Serock was holding A J against the K Q of Wilson. Both hit the flop with Serock catching the best of it when it came down Q 8 A , and Wilson would need some help. He couldn't catch up on the turn (T ) or the river (2 ) and he was eliminated in 5th place and will take home $104,323 in prize money.

Next would be Jesse Rios. Rios moved all-in from the BB after a raise from Parker on the button, and a call from Serock in the SB. Brock shoved all-in behind Rios, and Serock let his hand go. Rios was pained to see his A J was dominated by Parker's A Q . The board ran out 5 4 9 K 7 , and Rios was gone in 4th place. He takes home $148,661 for his finish, his 4th cash this week at the W.S.O.P.

Russell Crane raised preflop and got called by Jesse Rios.  The Flop was 8 A 3 and was checked around.  The Turn was the J and was good enough for Rios bet out about 150K.  Crane thought and called.  The River T was checked around also.  Rio showed Ac6c for a pair of Aces.  Crane showed A 4 for the same pair of Aces as neither player’s kicker played.  The dealer split the pot.

Later Joe Serock raised preflop, but picked up a late call from Jesse Rios.  The blinds folded and we finally got to see a Flop.  The Flop came 5 3 2 .  Serock pushed a continuation bet of 150K.  Rios raised and Serock pushed all-in.  Rios quickly called.  Serock had a pair of Tens (T T ) for an overpair and a heart flush draw.  Rios had a pair of Fives (5 5 ) for a set of Fives.  The Turn Tc gave Serock a set of Tens plus a flush draw.  The River was the J and no help for Rios.  He was left with under a million in chips and Serock doubled up to over 2 million.

It took about three hour to lose our first player at the final table.  Clayton Newman pushed all-in for his remaining 400K.  Jesse Rios called and showed a pair of Tens (T T ).  Newman flipped over a dominated pair of Twos (2 2 ).  Newman was looking at 4:1 to stay alive.  The flop was 5 Q3 .  Newman could still hope for another Two or a backdoor straight draw.  The Q on the Turn was no help and neither was the K on the River.  Newman was out in 6th place.

Before that hand Jesse Rios was close to bet the first man to exit the final table.  He moved all-in and was called by Alex Wilson.  Rio had A K and Wilson had A T .  The Flop was 8 9 3 .  Wilson found a back door flush draw.  The Turn was the 7 upgrading Wilson’s draw to an open-ender.  The K on the River gave Rios a pair of Kings and Wilson a busted straight draw.  Mr. Double-Up does it again.

We're still Six handed and that doesn't look to change anytime soon.  Alex Wilson looking to steal the blinds and antes raised on the button and got a call from Jesse Rios.  The Flop came Q 5J .  Both players checked.  The Turn was the K .  Rios bet and collected the pot uncontested.  Rios’ chose to show his AQ.  He is currently second to from the bottom in chips.

Russell Crane, third from the bottom in chips got involved in a hand.  He raised 75K.  Chip leader Joe Serock reraised.  Crane moved all-in on him.  Serock folded, choosing not to double up Crane.

Player’s ended the hour with a 20 minute break.

They were able to get down to 11 players yesterday in the 6-handed No Limit Hold'em event. With 2 players over the 1 million chip mark it should be an exciting final push. Joe Serock is the current chip leader, and we'll have to see if he can continue to run well. The players return today at noon PDT to find out who will take home the $552,745 first place prize money and the bracelet.
