2008 WPT Festa Al Lago Main Event, from the Bellagio in Las Vegas - Preview
Vivek Rajkumar was the last WPT made-millionaire to be crowned, after the Seattle native pocketed $1.4 million for a win at the Borgata Poker Open last month at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. Just days ago, Glen Witmer of Waterloo, ON, Canada, took down the North American Poker Championship in Niagara Falls, worth a $1 million payday. After about a week at the Bellagio tables, one player will be handed a small fortune for his or her win at the 2008 Festa Al Lago. In 2006, Andreas Walnum of Norway outlasted 432 others and a tough final table to take home the largest portion of the $4.2 million prize pool, the $1 million first-place-prize. Walnum's two red deuces were able to hold off eventual runner-up finisher Steve Wong. Final table results:
