Deep V-neck tees - It’s the fashion item-du-jour here in Cannes (as in the South of France, for all my hillbilly friends that read this). This trend wouldn’t be so disturbing if said tee was being worn by women, but it’s MEN over here who are wearing such shirts. When I say it’s a deep V neck, I am talking about a V that plunges so deep it stops just short of a hairy, Euro bellybutton… Ewwwww. I am trying my hardest capture a pic of this heinous (albeit extremely comical) look, but they’re quick little buggers, these smarmy Euro men. I’m headed to Barcelona later today so perhaps the Spanish men will be committing this fashion crime and I can snap a pic without getting caught. Check back for that…

Ok, less fashion, more poker. I was pleasantly surprised to find that while the French are great at some things (croissants, smoking, retreating) poker is NOT on the list. I have never seen such awful play. It was ridiculous and I plan on playing as many European events as humanly possible. That being said, I still busted on day two when I stupidly gambled a flush draw against a set and was forced to spend the rest of my time lounging by the Mediterranean…Rough life, huh? It’s times like these that really reinforce the fact that I hit the lottery in terms of careers. And the icing on the already sinfully good cake? Only a week into the trip and I’m winning 66 points in Chinese from my non-deep V tee-shirt wearing Frenchman…More from Barcelona…Au revoir!
