Champ David Kitai (ImageMasters)

On the turn with a board of T 6 4 3, David bet 80k and Chris called. River was a Ten and Chris checked, David bet 280k, and Chris tanked. After a few minutes, he made the call. David showed 52 for the straight. Chris mucked.

Cheap flop: K 9 8. David checked, Chris bet pot, David raised pot, Chris called all-in. David held 94 for middle pair. Chris held Q9 for middle pair with better kicker. Last two were A 5 and Chris doubled up to 460k.

David kept wearing Chris down until he had only 220k. He got those chips in the middle with AJ suited. David held AQ offsuit. The board came 7 6 3 T 4 and this one is over.

David Kitai finished in 1st place, earning $244,546 and his first WSOP bracelet.

Chris had to call the extra 95k, but then tried to muck his hand when David turned up his pocket Queens. Chris had K8 and was drawing dead. River was an irrelevant Jack and David doubled up, leaving Chris with only 280k.

Chris was all in on the next hand with K7 suited against David’s A4 off. Board came T 7 6 8 4 and Chris doubled up to 560k.

They got all the chips in pre-flop and turned over their hands. Chris held A8 off and was ahead of David’s A7 suited. Then the board came 9 6 4 6 6 and they split the pot.

Again they got all the chips in. Chris held pocket Jacks and David held J7 off. The board came T 6 4 4 7 and Chris doubled up.

The floorperson came up and told him he had gone too far and had to put those chips in the pot. He did, and Chris showed KT for top pair. David mucked.

Play continued into Level 24: Blinds 25k/50k.

Chris raised and Robert moved in for 249k. Chris made the call showing AK off. Robert was ahead with pocket 9s, but was looking at a race. The flop og Q 7 5 was good for Robert, then a Ten hit the turn, giving Chris more outs. Any Ace, King, or Jack would ship the pot to Chris. River was a Jack and Chris made the straight to bust Robert. Robert shook the other players’ hands as he exited the final table set.

Robert ‘RCW’ Cheung finished in 6th place, earning $50,100.

On a flop of 7 4 3 rainbow, Lee and David got all the chips in. Lee held K6 for a gutshot and overcard. David held 75 for top pair and the lead. The last two were 6 A and David doubled up.
