The momentum turned against Ted. Andrew Brown kept firing at pots and Ted was either surrendering or calling and getting shown a better hand. At one point after losing to a flush, Ted was down to only 150k. He got all-in and managed to double up, then won a couple more pots to claw his way back to 600k. On the river with a board of A Q A Q 5, Ted showed AJ98 for trip Aces to win another pot. He was back to 970k. On a board of J 8 3 5 2 , Ted check-raised Andrew's bet and got called. Ted's AT54 (wheel) got quartered for the low by Andrew's A642 and Andrew took the high with the 6-high straight. Ted was back down to 450k. With the board showng AJ982, Ted fired his last chips into the pot and Andrew called. Ted showed AQ74 for a pair of Aces and 87-low; Andrew rolled over J542 for two pair with an 85-low to scoop the pot, busting Ted. Andrew Brown finished in 1st place, earning $226,448 and his first WSOP bracelet. Ted Forrest finished in 2nd place, earning $143,421.
Wednesday, 11th of June 2008 02:00 AM Play resumed with Level 25: Blinds of 20k/40k with Limits of 40k/80k. Ted Forrest scooped a pot from Jim, leaving him with about 120k. Then Jim got all in on the next flop against Ted, who missed all his draws, doubling Jim up. Jim got all-in again soon after, this time against Andrew Brown. Jim was ahead with QQ85 (ss); Andrew held J643 (ss). But the board came K 5 4 6 J, giving Andrew two pair and the scoop. After one of the best comeback stories ever... Jim Pechac finished in 3rd place, earning $88,065. Ted Forrest had the chip lead going into heads-up play, but so far they've been sparring, pushing small pots back and forth. The biggest pot so far saw Ted calling on the river with a board of K 9 9 6 9. Andrew showed him the case 9 to take the pot and pull almost even in chips.
Wednesday, 11th of June 2008 01:00 AM After getting scooped by Jim Pechac in a pot, Soheil Shamseddin got all-in on a K 5 5 flop against Andrew Brown and Jim Pechac. Jim bowed out when a 2 hit the turn. Andrew held 9622 for deuces full to lock the high. Soheil's hopes were hung on his low draw with AQ86, but the river was a Jack and Andrew scooped. Soheil Shamseddin finished in 4th place, earning $71,962. After a short break, three-handed play got underway. Ted Forrest took the first four pots, then tangled in a big pot with Jim Pechac. Lots of action all the way down and Jim raised on the turn to get his last chips in. The board showed K 7 3 A . Jim held Q Q 7 7 for trip 7s with no low draw. Ted held A Q 8 3 for two pair with an emergency low-draw, but the river was a complete blank and Jim scooped another pot, continuing his amazing comeback. Ted Forrest continues to gobble up the small pots uncontested and has built his stack up to 1.5 million. At the end of level 24, the final three took a 20 minute break. Play will resume about 1:05am.

Andrew Brown took that pot from Soheil Shamseddin to leave Soheil with just 220k. Kia got his last chips into a pot against Ted Forrest and came up short. Ted scooped and Kia was out of gas. Tuesday, 10th of June 2008 09:00 PM Ted Forrest is riding the poker-coaster today. He was in a pot with Andrew Brown and got scooped, then chopped a pot with Jim Pechac. He lost a couple more pots and seemed to be showing his frustration, then got involved with Ralph Perry. On the river with a board of K Q T 9 8, Ted shows KJJT for the straight to scoop. Jim Pechac backed into a pot against Scott Clements, Jim was drawing to the nut low and missed, but his one pair was, surprisingly, good for the scoop. Ted then scooped a pot from Andrew Brown with a flush and chipped up to 700k. At 9pm, players were sent on a 90-minute dinner break. Play will resume at 10:30pm.
Tuesday, 10th of June 2008 08:00 PM Jimmy Fricke got his chips in pre-flop against Andrew Brown. Gobboboy held A K Q 6 versus Andrew's 9 6 4 3 . Ted Forrest is the chip leader with 505k.
Tuesday, 10th of June 2008 07:00 PM Ralph Rudd got his last chips in pre-flop against Andrew Brown. Ralph held A A K 8 and Andrew held A 7 5 4 . The board came T 6 3 8 K and Andrew caught running diamonds to make a flush and an emergency low. Since Ralph couldn't make a qualifying low, he was busted. Ralph Rudd finished in 11th place, earning $13,587. The final ten players drew seats and moved to a single table, then continued play. Five players took the flop for a raise: T 5 3 . Ted Forrest fired and got three callers (Jimmy Fricke folded). Turn was the J and it was checked to Scott Clements, who fired and got three callers. River was the 3 which paired the board, ruining anyone's chances for a low. All four players in the pot checked and Scott Clements showed KKxx for Kings-up. No one could produce a better high hand and Scott scooped a huge pot. Lee Grove got his last chips in against two players. At the river, the other two split the pot and Lee just split. Lee Grove finished in 10th place, earning $13,587. With nine players remaining, they paused the clock to take a 20-minute break before beginning the 'official' final table play. With 11 players left at two tables, a complaint was made that one player was 'stalling' and slowing the play on one of the tables. To prevent any issues, they are now playing hand-for-hand. When one more player is eliminated, they will move to a single table of ten. Ralph Perry, Andrew Brown, and Soheil Shamseddin are all jammed up at the top of the leader board with about 330k each.

Tuesday, 10th of June 2008 04:00 PM Cards were in the air right on time at 3pm. With about 40 minutes remaining in Level 18: Blinds 3k/6k with Limits 6k/12k. Short-stack Jimmy Fricke doubled up on the first hand, then Scott Clements took out Michael Reed. All-in pre-flop, Scott's 8532 (ss) bested Michael's AQJ8 (ss) when the board came Q T 6 A 4 with three clubs, which were Scott's suit. His flush took the high and he made the nut low to scoop, sending Michael to the rail. Michael Reed finished in 18th place, earning $8,555. Pat Poels got his last chips in on the flop with two pair (no low possible) only to be shown a better two pair by Ralph Rudd. No help for Pat and he was felted. Pat Poels finished in 17th place, earning $8,555. Jim Pechac started the day with just 2k in chips. He's managed to multiply that stack several times and just tangled with Michael Sohayegh and Andrew Brown in a three-way pot. Michael was all-in and at showtime, Jim showed the wheel to scoop the pot, chipping up to 49k. Michael Sohayegh finished in 16th place, earning $8,555. Jim then played another pot with Mallory Smith. At the river, Jim made another wheel to scoop yet another pot. From that lowly 2k in starting chips, Jim is now up to 110k!
