Rick Rossetti - December 2006 Champion

Last December's Circuit Event Championship was won by Richard 'Rick' Rossetti, a roofing contractor from Linwood, NJ. Rick conquered the field of 237 players to take home $368,096, the Gold and Diamond WSOP Circuit Championship Ring, and the $10k entry to the 2007 WSOP.

Rick was in the middle of the pack when the final table began and had to overcome Alex Gomez' huge chip lead.  Alex came to the final table with almost half of the chips in play and held that lead all day as the 9th place through 4th place players were eliminated.  Rick took a tiny lead when he elininated 3rd place finisher John Racener, but the chip lead would change hands several times over the course of heads-up play, which lasted 75 hands.  In the end, it was Rick who walked away with top honors.  Click here for all the payouts for this event.

This year's winner will be crowned at the conclusion of final table action which begins at 2pm on Tuesday, December 18th.  From the first flop to the last river card, I'll be at Harrah's in Atlantic City bringing you all the action LIVE, right here on PokerPages.com!
