Hello Everyone,

Thanks for taking a second or two to stop by and see what’s going on this week at PokerPages.com.

Let me start off by pointing you to the article Proposed UIGEA Regulations: Prohibition on Funding of Unlawful Internet Gambling, co-authored by Joseph M. Kelly and Frank Catania. This may be the best analysis regarding the current state of the UIGEA legislation that I have yet seen. In short, it outlines the proposed regulations that the UIGEA will impose upon the financial industry, as well as the process that remains for its final implementation. How will this affect the average poker player, you ask? Well, you’ll have to read the article and draw your own conclusions…..

Did you miss any of the U.S. Poker Championships at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City? We sent Kaelaine Minton out to provide you with the best coverage possible, and she most certainly delivered. Check out all of the action from day 1 to the final table.

Also… Be sure to take a look at the interview PokerPages.com’s own Assistant Editor, Justin West, conducted with Kenna James this past week. It’s broken into two pieces: Part 1 and Part 2. Kenna is truly one of poker’s finest gentlemen, and we are honored to be the exclusive host to his blog. I’m sure those of you who have been following his blog here at PokerPages.com have noticed Kenna always has something interesting to say. With so many personal endeavors and interests, one can see why Kenna updates his blog so often!

And of course, don’t forget to check out this week’s installment of (Mis)Adventures of a Poker Player, entitled "Should Dealers be Allowed to Play?"  written by Michael Cheser. In his series, Michael shares thoughts and observations complied over hours and hours of play at the poker rooms of Las Vegas. With an ability to communicate with a touch of sarcasm, dry wit, and intellect, Michael rarely fails to deliver a home run on each of his weekly blogs. Check back for a new edition of (Mis)Adventures of A Poker Player posted each and every Wednesday.

And finally…. be sure and take a look at world-class pro T.J. Cloutier’s recent blog post, titled "The Cowboy and the Queen," in which T.J shares a story about Cowboy Wolford and handling a bad beat.

Thanks for letting me take a few moments to preview some of the great things going on at the site –and for making PokerPages.com a part of your day.

Be lucky and God bless,

Mark
