Louis Lee - 2nd place

Louis called from the button and Adam popped him another 125k. Louis complied and the flop was K Q 4 . Adam bet 220k and Louis called. Turn was the J and both checked. River was the 5 and Adam checked. As Louis reached for his chips, Adam mucked his hand.

Two hands later, Louis called from the button and Adam popped him another 125k (sound familiar?). Louis called. Flop was 6 6 5 . Adam checked, Louis bet 200k, Adam raised 300k on top, and Louis went into the tank. After several minutes, Louis stood up and moved his chips in, showing 5 3 for 6s full of 5s. Adam rolled over pocket 8s for 6s full of 8s and the better full house. Louis was drawing dead and it is OVER! (River was the K .)

Adam Gerber finished in 1st place, earning $606,095, the USPC Championship bracelet, and a Rolex watch.

Louis Lee finished in 2nd place, earning $318,160.

Matt Glantz - 3rd place

Louis limped on the button, Adam completed the small, then Matt moved all in from the big. Louis ducked but Adam made the call, showing pocket 6s. Matt held A Q and needed help. Unfortunately the Poker Gods were smiling the other way, as the flop came T 6 2 giving Adam a set. Turn was the A , which was too little, too late. Adding salt to the wound, the river was the case 6 giving Adam quads and the pot.

Matt Glantz finished in 3rd place, earning $159,080.

There will be a short break in the action as they prepare for heads-up play.

Saturday, 06th of October 2007 06:12 PM

Flop was 9 7 6 and Louis bet 90k. Adam jacked it 240k more, then Louis re-popped it to 635k. Adam burned his time bank before finally folding.

Lee opened for 120k from the button and Matt raised another 225k from the big blind. Louis took his usual long time before shoving all in. Matt surrendered.

With less than 500k remaining, Matt has now moved in twice pre-flop, but not gotten any action.

Saturday, 06th of October 2007 05:41 PM

It is hard to consider any pot small when there is 75k in before any action takes place, but the final three are playing 'small pot' poker. In one pot between Adam and Louis it was checked to the river when Adam bet. Louis paid him off and Adam showed the runner-runner nut flush to take the pot. In another hand between Matt and Louis, it was checked to the river where Louis bet. Matt paid him off and he showed J4 for a full house with the board of J T 4 4 K.

Most of the hands don't make it to the river, but rather are conceded on the flop when someone bets.

Level 20: Blinds 20k/40k with 5k antes. Play has resumed.

Another BOB: Adam completed and Matt checked. Flop was J 7 7 . Adam checked, Matt bet 40k, Adam raised another 80k on top, and Matt called. Turn was the 7 . Adam took a long time, then checked. Matt bet 180k and Adam thought for a few seconds, then folded. Matt took the 285k pot.

Edward Brogdon - 4th place

Edward moved in for 210k on the button. Both Adam (small blind) and Matt (big blind) made the call. Flop was 7 6 2 and both checked. Turn was the 9 and Matt moved all-in. Adam called quickly and they both showed A9 suited. Adam had hearts and Matt had spades. River was the K so Matt and Adam split the pot. Edward showed the A 4 and was eliminated.

Edward Brogdon finished in 4th place, earning $95,448.

Saturday, 06th of October 2007 04:11 PM

The final four have settled in to play some serious poker. Adam and Louis are doing a good bit of head-butting while Matt and Edward seem to be keeping their heads down and being a little more selective about when they get into the fray.

Saturday, 06th of October 2007 03:45 PM

Edward opened for 80k and Adam called from the button. Matt folded his small blind and then Louis came over the top for another 725k! That's one heckuva re-raise. He was effectively putting Edward all-in, but Edward folded fairly quickly. Adam then went into the tank for several minutes, counting and re-counting stacks of chips. He finally gave up and mucked his hand.

Saturday, 06th of October 2007 03:35 PM

Annand 'Victor' Ramdin - 5th place

Louis raised to 68k and Victor moved in for 205k. Louis made the call, showing K 7 . Victor held A K and had Louis dominated, by poker can be cruel, as the board came 8 7 6 Q 9 . Louis made a pair and Victor didn't.

Annand 'Victor' Ramdin finished in 5th place, earning $71,586.

Saturday, 06th of October 2007 03:02 PM

Jared Okun - 6th place

Matt made it 70k to go from the button, then Jared moved in for 242k from the small blind. Matt makes the call showing pocket Jacks. Jared held A Q . The board bricked out and Matt took the pot.

Jaren Okun finished in 6th place, earning $55,678. (Now doesn't this kid look like he could be Isaac Haxton's kid brother?)

Saturday, 06th of October 2007 02:48 PM

Svetlana Gromenkova - 7th place

Louis make it 68k to go, then Svetlana moved all in for 302k. Adam spent a couple of minutes thinking about it, then called. Louis decided to bow out. Svetlana held A Q and was behind. Adam held pocket 7s. Board came T 3 2 K 5 and Svetlana was busted.

Svetlana Gromenkova, last woman remaining, finished in 7th place, earning $39,770.

Saturday, 06th of October 2007 02:19 PM

Tommy Wang - 8th place

Tommy moved in from the button for 103k. Svetlana, in the small blind, moved in over the top. Edward surrendered his big blind. Tommy held K Q and was trailing Svetlana's A T . Board came 6 5 4 9 6 and Svetlana took the pot with Ace-high.

Tommy Wang finished in 8th place, earning $31,818.

Saturday, 06th of October 2007 02:14 PM

BOB: Batte of the Blinds: Victor completed the small and Tommy checked his option. Flop was 9 4 2 and Victor lead with 25k. Tommy moved in and Victor called all-in (125k total) showing T 9 for top pair. Tommy's 3 2 (bottom pair) was way behind. Last two cards were 8 K and Victor doubled up, leaving Tommy with about 110k.

Saturday, 06th of October 2007 02:01 PM

Edward limped from the button and Adam jacked it up to 84k from the small blind. Matt folded the big and Edward gave it a bit of thought, then moved all in for 167k on top. Adam took about a half a minuted before deciding to call, showing A 4 . Edward was way ahead with pocket Aces (both red). The flop was Q 5 2 giving Adam a gutshot draw to a trey and the ways things have been going for him, we were all expecting to see the three, but the last two cards came T 2 and Edward doubled up.

Saturday, 06th of October 2007 01:54 PM

Svetlana got all in for ~150 with pocket Kings and got action from Edward, who held pocket Queens. Board came 9 5 3 K 8 and Svetlana doubled up to over 300k. Edward was left with ~265k.

Saturday, 06th of October 2007 01:48 PM

Level 17 ended and after a short break, they moved into level 18 with 10k/20k blinds and 3k antes.

Jared moved in for his last 135k and got action from Louis. Jared's 9 3 was looking kinda wimpy up against Louis' A 7 , But the board came T 5 3 K K and Jared made a pair of treys to double up.

Saturday, 06th of October 2007 01:27 PM

Cards are in the air. Just a few minutes remain in level 17: 8k/16k blinds with 2k antes.
