Monday, 20th of August 2007 01:30 AM
Pamela Brunson was in the sb and limped in and Carol checked her option. The flop was A-5-3 and Carol lead out with an 8k bet and Pamela moved all-in. Carol didn't hesitate in calling Pamela down and the hands were exposed. Carol held the A-10 and Pamela held the A-5. The turn came a 4 and the river was also a 4. Pamela had Carol covered in chips and Pamela Brunson is our champion earning $34,435, the $10k seat to the Legends of Poker main event, the seat to the Ladies Night Out tournament, and the beautiful trophy!

Carol Fuchs and Pamela Brunson were just on a break and have returned to 2k-4k blinds with a 500 ante. Pam has roughly 238k and Carol has 130k. They are really playing well, but just passing chips back and forth at this point.
Monday, 20th of August 2007 12:30 AM
Phila was OTB and moved all-in for 26k. Pamela Brunson decided to flat call the bet and the action was over to Carol, who also flat called. The flop came 3-5-10 and Pamela and Carol checked. The turn was the Q and again, both players checked. The river was another Q and Pamela checked to Carol who made it 10k to go. Pamela folded and Carol turned up K-Q. Phila turned up her A-2 and that was it for her. Phila Just is gone in 3rd place earning $8,840.

Phila Just took another excruciating hit to her stack. She was OTB and made the raise to 13k and Pamela Brunson moved all-in. Phila insta-called and turned up A-7 versus the pocket 10's of Pamela. The flop was 9-9-5, the turn was an 8 and the river was a 4. Pamela is up to 115k!
Sunday, 19th of August 2007 11:54 PM
Phila Just is taking hits from both players. She doubled up Pamela in the hand from earlier and Carol has been picking her apart in several small pots. The chip counts will show how they've evened up in some respects.
Phila: 100k Pamela: 113k Carol: 158k

An interesting hand just developed. On a flop of Q-4-3, Pamela Brunson led out for 10k. Carol Fuchs flat called and Phila raised it up to 30k. Before Phila could put her raise in the pot, Pamela moved all-in and Carol was left with a bewildered look. Carol decided to fold and Phila called with the Q-9 versus the 3-4 of Pamela. The turn was a J and the river was a K. Pamela just doubled up and

Rosemary Hershkowitz was UTG and made it 6k to go. Pamela Brunson decided to make it 20k and Rosemary moved all-in. Pamela called and we had a race on our hands. Pamela had the pocket 7's and Rosemary had A-3. The flop came out J-9-2, the turn was a 7 which did it for Rosemary. The river was the Q and Rosemary Hershkowitz is done for the night in 4th place earning $5,585.

The action has slowed up a bit and I can see that Carol Fuchs has accumulated a ton of chips. She has roughly 130k and Phila Just has roughly 180k. Rosemary Herskowitz just moved all-in and got no callers, but she has about 18k. Lise Steiner is hanging in with 28k and Pamela Brunson is slightly better with 30k.
Sunday, 19th of August 2007 10:29 PM
Janise King raised in mid position to 5k and the action folded around to Carol Fuchs who announced that she was all-in. Janise called and turned over pocket 9's to Carol's pocket K's. The 7-6-3-3-6 board did nothing to help Janise and she was dispatched in 6th earning $3,255.

Renee Wexler tried to take a stand with her chips. She moved all-in and got the call from Rosemary Hershkowitz who was holding pocket 9's. Renee needed some serious help with her pocket 8's. The first three cards came 3-5-2, the turn was a J and the river was a 3. Renee Wexler is finished in 7th place earning $2,325.

Two players were sent to the rail in consecutive hands.
Della Jones got into some action against Gabrielle Wagner. The crippling hand was Della's A-Q versus Gabrielle's A-7 and the J-7-3 flop meant that Della needed to do some major catcing up to do. The turn was the 3 and the river was the 6 and Della Jones was ousted in 9th earning $1,860.

Even though Gabrielle Wagner sent Della home, she was still a shortstack at the table. She decided to make a move by making a raise UTG but got put all-in by Phila Just. Gabrielle called with her Q-8 and Phila held the 7-6. The flop was 5-2-9, the turn was a 2, and the river was an A. Gabrielle was sent packing in 8th place earning $2,095.

Phila Just has been on a sick run. She put Marlene Holomon to the test by re-raising her all-in and Marlene made the call. Phila held pocket K's and Marlene had the A-J. The flop came 4-6-7 and now Marene would need a minor miracle. The turn was the 8 whch did nothing for Marlene. The river was a 2 and Marlene Holomon was sent to the rail finishing in 10th place earning $1,630.

We have just made the final table. The ladies are settling into their new seats.
Sunday, 19th of August 2007 08:45 PM
We are down to 11 players and one more to get to the final table. The big story right now is that the women were under the impression that they were getting a break after this level, but the tournament director has made it clear that they will get one when they get down to the final 10. So we are seeing a lot of squirming and fidgeting.

Pamela Brunson just doubled up again! Pre-flop she gets her money in the middle holding A-Q versus the pocket K's of Marlene Holomon. The flop was A-J-J, the turn came an 8 and the river was a 5. Pamela is up to 37k.

As promised, here is our current chipleader. Phila Just is bullying her table and doing a great job. Pamela Brunson is also in the tournament. I actually didn't know that she was Doyle's daughter and I should be taken out in the street and shot! She came into today's action with only 10k which was one of the low stacks. She just doubled up when her A-10 rivered a straight against a pair of 6's.

Van Nguyen is our first casualty of the evening when her pocket 10's ran up against pocket K's. The board bricked and she's been sent to the rail! The name might not mean anything, but she's married to Men "The Master" Nguyen. I'm sure she gets her poker knowledge from a great coach!

We are about to get started with the final 2 tables of the ladies event. The players are settling in and unbagging their chips. We will begin at 7:15. I have to apologize to our REAL chipleader Phila Just who has 55k and is our overwhelming chipleader. In the confusion last night I never got the chance to count her chips and she was the reason we ended the night. I will get a picture of her posted as soon as she gets seated and action gets underway.
