Kevin is at it again. pre-flop and OTB Kevin raises to 17k. Ben Fineman peeks down at his cards and declares that he's all-in for 56k more. Kevin thinks for a minute and while he does, Ben says, "You know your gonna call, so just get it over with." Kevin reluctantly calls and tunrs up 9-8o to Ben's A-10. The flop could be the end for Ben when the Q-9-2 comes. The turn is a 5, leaving Ben looking for an A or a 10. The river is an A and the chips get pushed to Ben who is up to 120k.
Wednesday, 15th of August 2007 01:56 AM
Someone has built a rollercoaster in The Bike and Kevin Song is the first one to ride it. He lost a monster pot to Ben fineman earlier when Kevin's A-J was cracked by the A-5 of Ben and that left Kevin with about 60k. He just took a lucky turn to get some back. The flop was J-2-8 and Kevin checked to Ben who made it 25k. Kevin moved all-in and Ben insta-called with his A-J. Kevin had the K-8, but the turn was a K and the river was a Q and Kevin took back 99k.
Wednesday, 15th of August 2007 01:37 AM
Blinds are at 3k-6k with a 1k ante. Kevin Song and Ryan Young are both pretty even with roughly 200k, while Ben Fineman is around 110k.
Wednesday, 15th of August 2007 01:15 AM
Kevin Song made a raise to 15k OTB and Ben came over the top all-in, which covered Kevin. Kevin tanked for a minute before making the call with A-7. Ben had pocket 5's and we were off to the races. The flop was 3-J-3, the turn was a 7 and Kevin had the lead. The river was a 4 and Kevin took down a 194k pot.
Wednesday, 15th of August 2007 01:08 AM
Kevin Song is putting on a show for all the railbirds. He has taken down 2 more pots, one with a river K, which gave him 2 pair. He bet out for 15k and got the call from Ben who had the smaller 2 pair. Kevin is holding 90k.
Wednesday, 15th of August 2007 01:01 AM
Kevin Song has made 2 seperate moves to pick up pots and has roared back to 60k.
Wednesday, 15th of August 2007 12:52 AM
Ryan Young was OTB and made a raise to 30k. Kevin Song went in the tank for a minute before moving all-in and Ryan called showing pocket 5's. Kevin held A-Q. The flop was A-5-J and at first Ryan thought he was beat, until Ben Fineman brought the 5 to his attention. The turn was a 9 and the river was an A and Kevin lost 70k of his stack He is down to 19k and in bad shape!
Wednesday, 15th of August 2007 12:32 AM
Ben Fineman was OTB and made a raise to 30k. Jordan Lee took little time in pushing in his 81k stack wich left Ben needing to put an extra 51k to call. Ben went through his check down and finally made the decision to call. The hands were exposed and Ben held K-J versus the pocket 6's of Jordan. The flop was kind to Jordan when the 4-5-9 came. The turn came back to help Ben when the Q hit. The river was unkind for Jordan when the 10 completed Ben's straight and sent Jordan Lee packing in 4th place earning $14,680. Note: Jordan refused a picture!
Wednesday, 15th of August 2007 12:12 AM
On a previous hand, Ryan Young used the dreaded no-no word and was given a 5 handed penalty. With his BB in play, Paul Zibits was UTG and moved all-in for 28k. Jordan Lee looked down at an A-4 and announced his call. The K-J of Zibits was a slight underdog until the flop of A-5-6 and it became a huge dog. The turn was a 4 and he was drawing dead even though the K came on the river. Paul Zibits finished 5th earning $8,560.

Ok! Paul Zibits put 60k in a pot against Jordan Lee and we saw a flop of A-K-10. Jordan made a move and Zibits folded, which left him with only 16k. On the next hand, he moved all-in and got a call from Ryan young who was pot commited in the BB. Ryan had 7-9 and Zibits had A-2. The board was J-J-10-4-2 and Zibits has doubled up.
Tuesday, 14th of August 2007 11:59 PM
we're back to the raise, fold, fold. no one has really picked up any big pots. If we do reach a flop it's check, folded.
Tuesday, 14th of August 2007 11:32 PM
Two back to back hands!
First, Kevin Song makes a raise UTG to 7k and the action folds around to Nicolas Mlouk who puts in his stack totaling 30k. Kevin thinks for a minute before making the call with k-10 against Nicolas' A-K. The flop was Q-10-2. The turn was a 2 and the river was a 4 and Nicolas Mlouk finished in 7th earning $6,115.

2 hands later, Ben Fineman raised the unopened pot to 7k and Alan Myerson decided it was his time to make his move. He put in his 30k stack and Ben insta-called showing pocket K's versus the pocket 7's of Alan. The flop of A-K-A is enough to send Alan Myerson home in 6th earning $8,560.

Tuesday, 14th of August 2007 10:54 PM
Ben Fineman just went from second to an overwhelming first in chips. Pre-flop Thanh Luong popped the pot up to 7k and Ben flat called. The flop came 7-J-9 and Thanh fired out 10k. Ben moved all-in and Thanh quickly called with a straight draw of 5-6. Ben had the straight made with the 8-10 and Thanh needed some serious help. The turn was a K and that did it for Thanh Luong's day. Thanh Luong finished 8th earning $4,890.

Thanh Luong is still the chipleader with 81k, but Ben Fineman (you might recognize him from the WSOP showings) is holding 79k and I can't get an accurate count on Kevin Song but he's in the 60k range.
Tuesday, 14th of August 2007 10:36 PM
Sorry to be so absent minded. We are 30 minutes into the blinds of 1k-2k and a 300 ante.
Tuesday, 14th of August 2007 10:26 PM
Ryan Young just doubled through Thanh Luong with pocket Q's versus the J-9 of Thanh. The two got all-in on a flop of 9-4-3. The turn and river were blanks and Ryan is up to 60k.

The pre-flop action folded around to Kevin Song who made a raise to 4,500 and John Huang immediately moved all-in for an additional 39k. Kevin took no time before making the call with a K-9 versus the 9 5 of John. The flop was 7-K-3r and no diamonds for John. He would need running 5's or some straight cards to make it out of the hand alive. The J on the turn and the river 7 did nothing to help. John Huang finished 9th earning $4,280.

Adam Geyer made the all-in move one too many times and ran up against the A Q of Ryan Young. Adam had the A-7 and the flop was hopefull when the J 7 5 hit. The turn was the 3 and Adam needed to fade the J or any heart. The river was the 10 and that did it for Adam Geyer who finished 10th earning $3,670.

So far it's the usual raise fold, fold, fold, etc. Adam Geyer is the only one who has been aggressive so far and it's only to stay alive. He did get two callers and a board that read A-8-A-7-2 and he held pocket K's. No one could beat it so he scooped in a 13k pot.

On a flop of 6 J 6 , Ben Fineman made it 4k to go and Richard Mills moved all-in. Ben called with the A 8 and Richard held pocket 9's. The turn was the 8 and the river was the 7 giving the flush to Ben who had Richard covered. Richard Mills is our 11th place finisher. Time to set up the final table.
Tuesday, 14th of August 2007 08:25 PM
In a blind versus blind battle, Thanh Luong mad a raise to 3,600 and Jason Atwood moved all-in for an additional 8,600. Thanh called and held pocket 4's versus the K-Q of Atwood. The flop brought out 2-7-9, the turn was an A and the river is an 8. Jason Atwood is outta here in 12th.

Nam Le was in a tough position, he only had 9k left after making a small raise and John Hoang made it 6k more to go. Nam went in the tank for about 4 minutes and finally put his stack in and got the call. Nam had pocket 3's and John held the A-Q. The flop was A-10-10, the turn was a 2 and the river was a 4. Nam was tossed out in 13th.

I have to make a correction. We had a player go all-in on the first hand for 1,900 chips and was ousted in 18th place. I adjusted everyone to this point and we have 13 players left.
Tuesday, 14th of August 2007 07:55 PM
On a flop of Q-Q-J, James Van Alstyne put his last 16k in the middle and got the call from jordan Lee. jordan had pocket K's and James was drawing almost stone dead with A-10. The turn was an 8 and the river was one of 2 K's. James Van Alstyne is out in 16th.
Pre-flop, Paul Lee made a raise to 1,600 and Thanh Luong raised it to 4k. Lee moved all-in and Thanh asked for a count. he then said, " I know you like to gamble...I call!" and turned up his dominating A-10 to Lee's J-10. The flop brought out the A-9-3, with the 4-4 on the turn and river and Paul Lee is gone!
as I'm sitting here we just lost Brian Lee on the other table.
Tuesday, 14th of August 2007 07:42 PM
Our second victim of the night is Jay Moriarty who called the all-in bet of Richard Mills. Jay had A 6 versus the pocket 10's of Richard. The flop was 4-7-9, the turn was a 10 and the river was a K and that did it for Jay our 17th place finisher.
Tuesday, 14th of August 2007 07:16 PM
The cards are in the air! We have 30 minutes left in the round.
Tuesday, 14th of August 2007 06:59 PM
We have 15 minutes or so befrore the tournament starts. The players are trickling in and unbagging their chips and settling in. The blinds will start at 400-800 with a 100 ante.
The field is set with the final 18 coming back tonight at 7:15 p.m. and playing down to a champion. The chipleader for most of day 1,Thanh Luong is no stranger to final tables since he's already made one earlier this week. He will have to look over his shoulder though because Kevin Song still has a nice stack as well. Nam Le and James Van Alstyne also made it to the second day and both are always a threat if they have a chip and a chair. Be sure to follow all the action here at Pokerpages.com throughout the night to see what unfolds!
