The action folded around to Gene Resnick, who was in the sb. He made a push with all of his chips and was surprised to get a call from Amazon who turned up the K-Q versus the K-J of Gene Resnick. The board was a complete brick for Resnick and Gene Resnick is finished 6th earning $9,395.

With a little over 40k in the pot and the flop reading 3-10-5, George Colli fired out a pot-sized bet and Jorge Pineda moved all-in. George must have put him on a steal and decided to call and the hands were turned up. George Colli had the A-4 and Jorge Pineda turned up the pocket A's. The turn was the 7 and now Colli could only hope for a 2. The 3 was scary to Pineda at first, but it was the card that sent George Colli back to Connecticut in 7th place earning $6,710.

George Yutuc was running low on chips and finally woke up with an all-in hand. His K-8 was up against the K-10 of Fred Aldi and the flop came K-7-4. The turn was a 10 and the river 2 was no help to George Yutuc who finished 8th place earning $5,370.

On a flop of 9-Q-K, the player only known as Amazon checked his option over to Ray Henson, who made a 13k bet. Amazon moved all-in and the action rested on Ray's hands. Ray went through his check down of hands and even made the right decision on hands, but made the crying call with pocket A's versus the set of Q's of amazon. The turn was a 3 and the river was a 5. Ray Henson finished in 9th place earning $4,025.

Fred Adli just doubled through George Colli with an A-K versus the pocket Q's of George. The 3-K-9 was enough to see. He is up to 125k.

2 hands later, Fred raised the pot up to 7k and Makram Merhom moved all-in. Kevin Song made the insta-call, leaving Fred with a big decision. he took a few minutes to decide to fold his A-K and the other two turn up their hands. Makram had A-10 versus the pocket 9's of Kevin. The flop came 2-4-6. The turn was another 2 and the river was the 4 and Makram Merhom finished 10th earning $3,355.

It took a few minutes, but our shortstack Jutin Pechie moved all-in against Fred Adli who called and turned up pocket J's. Justin turned over K-J and the board read 3-4-6-8-8. Justin is out in 11th and we are getting our final table set.

We have a lot of raise/all-in and fold action right now. Everyone is trying to gather up as much as they can. Some of the players are actually getting a little perturbed. On one table we hear, " Could you pay attention to the game this time? your decision to fold shouldn't take 20 minutes." It's more like 8 minutes actually but hey, who's counting?

Sunday, 12th of August 2007 11:07 PM

Kevin Song only had 30k and just doubled through Justin Pechie with a full house, A's full of 3's. Justin has less than 10k and will need a ton of help to survive.

George Colli limped in in the cut-off and the small blind popped his stack in the middle at a tune of 16k. George decided to make the call and the A-J of George was up against the pocket 7's of his opponent. The flop was J-9-2. The turn was another J and the river was the 10 and One more player down. We are npw down to 11 players.

Sunday, 12th of August 2007 10:44 PM

The blinds are now at 1,500-3k with a 500 ante.

Speaking of Jorge Pineda, he just moved all-in on the BB versus Sam Alsharairi, who was in the sb. The A-4 of Jorge was in a slight lead over the K-Q of Sam. the flop was 7-4-J, the turn was a 3 and the river was a 3. Jorge knocks one out and adds to his chips.

Sunday, 12th of August 2007 10:38 PM

The players are on a short break to color up the black 100 chips. The two tables are playing 7 handed and 6 handed and we need to get rid of 3 to get to the final table.

Jorge Pineda just got through stacking his chips from a previous pot and George Yutuc made a raise UTG to 6k. Pineda took a minute to decide what to do. He still had 2 other players behind him to make their decisions and that weighed heavily on his decision to fold. Pineda had the dealer hold his cards and he told Yutuc, "I will lay this one down for you." Once everyone folded, the dealer turned over Pineda's A-Q and yutuc turned up A-K! good fold For Jorge Pineda who still has a smallish stack, but is making the right decisions.

Tonight might be turning into the George Colli show. On a flop of 7-J-9, George's opponent makes a bet and George goes over the top and all-in. His opponent had A-J and George had the pocket 7's for the set. The turn was a 2 and the river was an A. George sends one more to the rail and puts his stack up to 150k.

Sunday, 12th of August 2007 10:06 PM

George Colli just took another player out with his K's versus the 4's of Sharon Levi. The pot was about 20k.

Sunday, 12th of August 2007 09:51 PM

We are down to 2 tables and the chiplead has changed hands. Kevin Song has 85k and has been playing rather tight in the beginning. George Colli is sitting on 101k. He is on a seperate table from Kevin so the two big stacks can beat up seperate tables.

I'm up and running for a few fleeting moments so here's what I have so far!

8:38p.m.

The first hour of play saw some fireworks. George Yutuc played very aggressively to try and gather in some chips.George raised in middle position to 3,500 and his opponent moved all-in and George called. George had A-K versus the pocket 10’s of his opponent. The flop was A-4-5 and george had the upper hand. The turn was a K and the river was a J. George Yutuc was up to 37k. Kenna James tried to knock out a player early when he made a raise and got re-raised all-in by his opponent. He called and showed Q-J versus the K-10 and the flop came out K-J-9 and James needed a 10. The turn was a 5 and the river was a 4 and Kenna dropped 12k on that pot.

Kenna James was playing very aggressively and got knocked out in the first hour. He told me that he was tired of getting pushed around by the guy to his left and that was noted in the paragraph above.

Folks, it looks as though the internet connection over at The Bicycle Casino is kaput. Live coverage for the day is a no-go, but will resume tomorrow without issue.

Thanks!

The $1,070 No Limit Hold'em tournament has been an extremely exciting tournament to watch thus far. Early in the tournament, it looked like Fred Adli would sail into day 2 with the chiplead and be the man to fear. He would give up his chiplead during the last level of day 1 to Kevin Song who came from nowhere to gather up 98,300. Several big name players are still in the hunt like Kenna James, who has 50,300. The voice of the UFC, Bruce Buffer is one of the shortstacks with 9,600 and hopes to take his shot at the first prize and the $10,000 seat to the Main Event. Play will resume at 7:15 and you can keep up with all the action here at Pokerpages.com.
