Thankfully we’ve come to the end of the WSOP ’07 recap. Quoting from Mark Napolitano’s recent article The Road To Riches: ‘how can a modern-day professional poker player reasonably expect to buy in to all of these major tournaments, spending hundreds of thousands of dollars just to buy-in? The honest answer to that question is: most cannot. ‘ Here’s a few who made a couple bucks in this year’s WSOP. From the e-mailbag: Hi Mike, Loving your "how did you favs do" articles. Just a quick question about one of my all-time favourite players, Mr. Prahlad "Mahatma" Friedman - I was wondering if he was playing in any of the WSOP events this year, and figured you're probably the right guy to ask! Thanks, Mischa. I did see his name a few times as playing, but he didn't record a cash. I agree, he's a sensational player and brutally handsome. Strange guy. Thanks for writing. And finally, Young Phan showed again how tough this business is. You can be a great player and lose a fortune by playing a lot of events. He’s such a nice guy. I hope he was backed for most of what had to be a $100k bath. Love Mike Paulle Email: mikepaulle@aol.com = |
