Stanley Cerwinski shoves his last chips in blind and is called by "Doc" Morcos and Jason Steinberg. There is a bet and raise on the flop of 6 4 8 . The turn brings the A and is followed by an all-in by Jason Steinberg who has A 2 6 9 while "Doc" holds the nut flush. The river does nothing for Stanley who doesn't even expose his cards before mucking them. Stanley Cerwinski finishes 5th earning $1,735.

Julia Cooley is the big blind and only has 1,000 chips left when "Doc" Morcos raise to 9k and is all-in. Soumitra Benerjee and Jason Steinberg both call and Julia puts her last 1000 in. Both Soumitra and Jason check it down and the board reads 7 7 6 6 k . The side pot went to Soumitra with two pair, but "Doc" turns over the Ace high flush and scoops the rest. Julia Cooley finishes in 8th with $870.

With very few chips left and sitting on the blinds, Bill May puts his last chips in on the flop which reads A 4 7 . He is called by Jason Steinberg who is drawing for the flush with A Q 10 4 . Bills hand is 2 4 5 10 and is drawing for half and hoping his two pair hold up. The turn brings the flush to Jason and sends Bill May home in 9th, earning $650. Interesting side note to mention, Bill May was in the film, "Lucky You" and was at the final table in the film.

I still can't get a sense of the true chipleader in the game! Everytime we get a big leader, he (or she) seems to put it right back into the pot. Chip average at this point would be 2900 with 90 or players left. I'm gonna have to wrap my own brain around the hi-lo aspect.

Getting down to 130 players and the blinds are up to 100-200. Several players need to have a remedial course on the game. I keep hearing players at the table mumbling, "forgot about the low" as the fold their high hand only to see they WERE a split pot winner!

Wednesday, 23rd of May 2007 07:20 PM

Cards are in the air! Blinds will start at 25-25 and we have 174 entrants. Blinds will increase every 30 minutes and we will play down until we have a winner tonight!
