Saturday, 28th of April 2007 03:45 AM

Amir Ghazvinian - 9th place

Saturday, 28th of April 2007 03:31 AM

Level 15:  Blinds 3k/6k with 1k antes.  Play continues.

After Gary limped in up front, Francois moved all in for 24,500 and was called by Amos in the big blind. Gary folded and Francois showed pocket Queens. Amos held KQ and called for a King. He got more than he asked for when the board came K 3 K 5 5 and he took the pot with the full house.

Francois Norpetlian finished in 10th place, earning $1,300.

Saturday, 28th of April 2007 03:22 AM

On the first hand at the final table, the two big stacks tangled. Jeff moved all in and Gary called. Jeff held pocket 3s and was in bad shape against Gary's pocket 8s, but a 3 came on the flop giving Jeff the set and the lead. Gary couldn't catch a third 8 and Jeff doubled up to become the new chip leader.

The final 18 have drawn seats and moved to the final two tables. Play continues.

Saturday, 28th of April 2007 02:16 AM

The player in seat 2 moved in and Rafael called, saying he just saw two picture cards. Seat 2 held KT and when Rafael rolled over his cards, they were pocket Kings! The Kings held up and Rafael took the pot, sending seat 2 out in 20th place.

The remaining players have agreed to take $870 off 1st place and pay to 19th place so they don't have to go hand for hand, so play is proceeding normally. When one more player busts out, they will redraw seats.

Saturday, 28th of April 2007 02:09 AM

Jeff Wagner

In a 3-way all-in, seat 3 held AK, seat 5, (the shortest stack) held 7 5 and Jeff Wagner held A Q. Board came 4 Q 9 2 8 and Jeff took both pots with his Ace-high flush, sending two players to the rail. Jeff is now the chip leader with about 104K.

Board was 5 8 3 T 6 -- the short stack was busted and Rafael took the pot with Ace-high. (The pocket 9s would have been good and busted both players.)

Level 10:  Blinds 600/1,200 with 200 antes.  Play continues.

Rupesh Pattni had taken the chip lead with ~54k, but then Peter Danayan called Florentino Ornelas' all-in on a board of A K 3 . Flornetino had A J for top pair with the flush draw and Peter was ahead with A 3 for two pair, but he had to dodge the clubs. Last two cards were offsuit 9 2 and Peter doubled up to over 60K to re-take the chip lead.

Florentino was left short stacked and busted out shortly after that hand.

Amir Ghazvinian

Rafael Maronyan, (event 13 winner) was all-in and behind with A T against a player's pocket 9s.  Rafael flopped a flush draw,  but didn't need it when a Ten fell on the river to give him the bigger pair and the double-up (to about 32K).

Steve Reitzfeld and Mark Bryan were at the same table and were almost tied at about 43,000 chips apiece, then Amir Ghazvinian won a pot at another table and took the lead with about 46,000.  Then they broke the Steve/Mark table and now Mark Bryan is at the table with Amir, on Amir's right.
