The final 10 are drawing seats and moving to the final table.

June Terajima finished in 13th place, earning $635.

Wednesday, 25th of April 2007 02:38 AM

On table 12, Kirk Acevedo called an all-in, (23k) showing AQ offsuit. The short-stack held pocket Kings. Board came 3 6 2 6 T and the short-stack doubled up.

Wednesday, 25th of April 2007 02:35 AM

In a battle of the blinds, Vaughan Clarke (small) got all in against seat 2 (big). Vaughan's pocket Aces were a big favorite of the QT suited, but the flop brought bad news: both a Queen and a Ten, giving seat 2 two pair and the double-up. After that pot, Vaughan was down to about 95K and seat 2 was up to about 50K.

Wednesday, 25th of April 2007 02:31 AM

After a short-stack moved all-in, Carig called, showing K9. The short-stack held pocket Queens and when the board came J J 5 5 9, the short-stack doubled through Craig, leaving him the short stack.

Then Craig moved in his last 13,000 chips and was called by the big blind, who said "I've got your hand", showing K9. Craig held T 9 . The board came 2 J A J 5 and the King-high held up, sending Craig home.

Vaughan Clarke

Level 11: Blinds 800/1,600 with 200 antes. Play has resumed. Here's the leader-board as of the break:

The big story here is Vaughan Clarke, who was all-in for 4,900 chips and for his tournament life back in level 8, holding pocket Queens as a 4-to-1 dog to pocket Aces.  He caught a Queen on the turn to triple up and has never looked back.  Now he's the massive chip leader, with almost twice as many chips as the second place player.

Wednesday, 25th of April 2007 12:49 AM

End of level 12 and players are on break.

On the last hand before the break. Alexi 'Speedy' Dimitrov got his last chips in with Q8 and was called by seat 1 who held A6. The board came 9 9 8 J J and although Alexi make a pair of 8s on the flop, his hand was counterfeited and his opponent's Ace-kicker played.

Wednesday, 25th of April 2007 12:42 AM

After Wenlong Jin raised, Kyle Gass moved his last chips in from the big blind, showing KJ. The Wenlong held T6 offsuit. Board came A Q 6 2 Q and the button made a pair of 6s to take the pot.

Kyle Gass is the official bubble-boy today, but walked away with 28th place and $415 thanks to the largess of the field.

The remaining players are drawing seats and moving to the final three tables.

Wednesday, 25th of April 2007 12:38 AM

The field has agreed to take $415 off 1st place to pay 28th place so that they don't have to play hand-for-hand, so back to regular play and all are in the money!

Wednesday, 25th of April 2007 12:33 AM

One more gone, so it is bubble-time, 28 players remain, and they are playing hand-for-hand.

Wednesday, 25th of April 2007 12:28 AM

Already down to 29 players, so it is double-bubble time.  Patrich Wachs is among those who have departed.

Wednesday, 25th of April 2007 12:12 AM

Level 10: Blinds 600/1,200 with 200 antes. Play continues.

Wednesday, 25th of April 2007 12:07 AM

Down to 36 players now - just 9 away from the money. Average stack is 18,250.

Tuesday, 24th of April 2007 11:44 PM

On a board of J T Q A 2 , Vaughan Clarke moved all in and was called by seat 2, who had the King for the straight, but Vaughan showed 7 6 for the runner-runner flush to take the pot. He said "you let me get there" because they had checked around on the turn. Vaughan doubled up, leaving seat 2 with just 200 chips.

On the next hand, seat 2 was all in for 100 (after anteing), then seat 7 moved all in for 4,700.  Patrick Wachs got the clock called on him and decided to call before his time ran out.  It turned out he was in the lead with K Q ; seat 7 held T 9  and seat 2 had K J .  Board came 7 5 A 3 3  and the KQ-high held up unimproved to take the pot and send two players packing.

Tuesday, 24th of April 2007 11:42 PM

Level 9: Blinds 400/800 with 100 antes. Play continues.

Tuesday, 24th of April 2007 11:37 PM

Table 13 is certainly hopping tonight! June Terajima busted an all-in player when he flopped a set of 8s to crack the short-stack's pocket 9s. Then in 3-way action, there were pocket Aces, pocket Queens, and AJ offsuit. The board came 9 3 7 Q 4 and Vaughan Clarke caught a set of Queens to triple up (to about 16K). The pocket Aces took the side pot and no one was busted on that hand. Tempers were flaring, however, and the floor had to issue a warning to the table.

Tuesday, 24th of April 2007 11:17 PM

On a flop of 6 A 7 Patrick Wachs moved all in for 13,500. After some thought, Wenlong Jin said "call". Patrick said "good call", but both players seemed reluctant to table their hands. As it turned out, it wasn't a good call. Neither player held a heart; Wenlong held 7 6 for bottom two pair; Patrick held A 6 for top and bottom pairs and the lead. Last two cards were K T and Patrick doubled through Wenlong (who is stil the chip leader, but down to about 40K).

Interesting to note that all three current and former chip leaders, June Terajima, Patrick Wachs, and Wenlong Jin have landed at table 13, which is the 'final' table.

Tuesday, 24th of April 2007 11:12 PM

Level 8: Blinds 300/600 with 100 antes. Play has resumed.

Wenlong Jin is still the chip leader and he has grown his stack to over 52,000 chips. The next largest stack I can find is in the 30K range.

Tuesday, 24th of April 2007 11:02 PM

End of level 7 and they are coloring up the green 25 chips and taking a break.

Tuesday, 24th of April 2007 10:40 PM

Wenlong Jin

And just like that, Patrick Wachs is no longer the chip leader. He got into an all-in confrontation with Wenlong Jin, who held pocket Queens. Patrick's pocket Jacks were in trouble. Board came T 9 6 T A and Wenlong doubled up to over 40.000 chips to become the new chip leader.

Tuesday, 24th of April 2007 10:30 PM

Patrick Wachs

Level 7: Blinds 200/400 with 75 antes. Play continues.

Patrick Wachs has exploded into the lead with about 43,000 chips.

Tuesday, 24th of April 2007 10:11 PM

Today's tournament seems to be more tense than the previous events. There have been a lot more floor calls requiring rulings and more calls for the clock. I don't know why this crowd is more tightly wound, but could it be because this is event # 13??

Tuesday, 24th of April 2007 10:05 PM

There was a big three-way over on table 8. Two players held AQ offsuit and the third was ahead with pocket 4s. Board came 7 5 3 J 4 and the 4s were good for the main pot. The two AQ's had to split the side pot.

Tuesday, 24th of April 2007 10:00 PM

Level 6: Blinds 150/300 with 50 antes. Play continues.

Tuesday, 24th of April 2007 09:54 PM

Down to 110 players now. Average stack is almost 6,000.

Jim Harrington and 'Taxi' Molina have motored on out of here, along with Chris 'Armenian Express' Grigorian.

Tuesday, 24th of April 2007 09:30 PM

Level 5: Blinds 100/200 with 25 antes. Play continues.

Tuesday, 24th of April 2007 09:09 PM

June Terajima

Looks like June Terajima is the current chip leader with about 16,000 chips. 151 players remain. Average stack is about 4350.

Some other familiar faces in the crowd: Chris 'Armenian Express' Grigorian, who finished 3rd in event #3, Jim Harrington, who finished 2nd in Event #9, and Eulises 'Taxi' Molina, who has cashed four times already during this tournament series.
