Jordan Smith finished in 12th place, earning $13,870.

Wednesday, 21st of February 2007 08:06 PM

Matt Graham - 13th place

Gavin Griffin got his chips all in and got action from Jerry Renfroe. Gavin's pocket Kings were ahead of Jerry's pocket Tens. The flop was innocuous, but the turn was a Ten, giving Jerry the lead with a set and leaving Gavin drawing slim. Then the two-outer King landed on the river to give Gavin the higher set and the double-up, leaving Jerry with less than 25K.

Matt got his chips all in with AQ only to run into the pocket Aces held by Peter Feldman. The Aces did their job.

Matthew Graham finished in 13th place, earning $12,136.

Danny Wong got all in with pocket Aces against Davidson Matthew's pocket Kings. Again the Aces did their job and Danny doubled up.

Wednesday, 21st of February 2007 07:55 PM

Wednesday, 21st of February 2007 05:31 PM

Barry Greenstein - bubble boy

Barry moved his last chips in from the cutoff with J9 offsuit and Peter Feldman came over the top for 80K from the button. All folded and he showed pocket 9s, leaving Barry looking for one of three Jacks. No hooks materialized on the board however, and Barry was busted.

Barry Greenstein finished in 19th place, earning $0.

The clock is paused as the final 18 players draw for seats and move to the final two tables.

Wednesday, 21st of February 2007 05:13 PM

Weikai Chang limped under-the-gun as did Gavin Griffin from the cutoff. Peter Feldman checked his option and the flop was 9 3 6 . Checked to Gavin, who bet 2K. Peter folded and Weikai called. Turn was 7 and again Weikai checked, Gavin bet 4,500 and Weikai called. River was J and this time Weikai lead with 9K, which was about one-third of what Gavin had left. Gavin thought about it for a couple of minutes, then called. Weikai showed K Q for King-high (busted flush draw). Gavin pulled up a weed, showing 6 4 for a pair of 6s and took the pot.

End of level 10 and 19 players are taking a break.

Wednesday, 21st of February 2007 04:16 PM

Erik Cajelais raised to 6K from the middle and Joe Sebok made it 24K straight from the small blind. Erik called and the flop was 7 8 6 . Joe bet 40K and after a couple minutes, Erik called. Turn was 7 and Joe moved all in; Erik called immediately. Joe's pocket Queens were in bad shape against Erik's T 9 for the flopped straight. River was 6 and Erik doubled up, dragging the huge pot, leaving Joe with only about 50K. Erik is still stacking chips, but he's probably close to 250K now.

Charles Swope raised to 7K up front and was called by Weikai Chang. Flop was T Q 2 and they managed to get all the chips in the middle. Charles was out front with pocket Queens for top set; Weikai held A J for the flush draw, needing a heart that didn't pair the board. Last two cards were 5 4 and Charles doubled up through Weikai.

Gavin Smith wants the world to know he's got about 80K.

Still 19 players, still hand-for-hand.

Wednesday, 21st of February 2007 04:09 PM

After Peter Feldman opened for 5K, Gavin Griffin moved his last 17K in. Peter thinks for a bit, then calls with K6 offsuit. Gavin's AT offsuit was ahead and the board didn't change that. Gavin doubled up.

Wednesday, 21st of February 2007 04:04 PM

With the board showing A Q 7 Q, Jordan Smith bet 14K. Davidson Matthew went into the tank for a few minutes, standing up, sitting down, then finally raised another 24K. Jordan said "you must have a Queen" and mucked his AK face up. As Davidson was dragging the pot, he said "no, I had Kings" and mucked his hand without showing.

Wednesday, 21st of February 2007 03:54 PM

Juan Carlos Alvarado got all in with J8 on a flop of J 9 2. He had top pair and was ahead of Shane Schleger's 98 for middle pair, but the last two cards came 7 9 and Shane made trip-nines to bust Juan Carlos in 21st place.

Winn moved his last chips in with pocket 5s only to run into Ron's pocket 9s.  No help from the board and Ron Faltinsky busted Winn Robertson in 20th place. Play is now hand-for-hand with 19 players remaining.

Gavin Smith sends a shout-out to Bill Edler, who is sweating him long-distance from Las Vegas via PokerPages.com.

Wednesday, 21st of February 2007 03:38 PM

Scott Dlugos got his chips in with AQ, but ran into the pocket Aces of Peter 'Nordberg' Feldman. The Aces held up and Scott gets the rest of the day off.

In a three-way all-in, Steve Diano held A5 suited and the shortest stack. Davidson Matthew held AJ off, and Tim 'Dr. Hope' Anders held pocket Tens. Board was 7 3 3 5 7 and Tim nearly tripled up, sending Steve Diano to the rail.

21 players remain. 3 more to go before the money.

End of level 9 and players are taking a 15 minute break.

Wednesday, 21st of February 2007 02:46 PM

Richard Clink doubled through Ron Faltinsky when his pocket Kings made a full house to beat Ron's AQ suited, which turned into a flush by the river. Richard doubled up to about 60K.

Three players take the flop for the minimum: 7 3 2 . Shane Schleger bet 5K and Gavin Smith and Todd Witteles both called. Turn was a blank and after a flurry of action, all three players were all-in. Gavin held A T for the nuts; Shane was second with Q 4 ; and Todd was a solid third with 9 8 . All three had flopped flushes and two were drawing dead. Gavin tripled up to nearly 100K. Shane took the side pot and Todd "Dan Druff" Witteles took the long walk to the rail.

Jeff Stoff was busted by Weikai Chang.

Wednesday, 21st of February 2007 02:35 PM

Once play resumed, Charles Swope doubled up through Chris Bonita and then Jeff Stoff doubled up through Steve Wong when his pocket 9s held up against Steve's AJ.

Joe Sebok busted Thomas Hover. They got all-in pre-flop; Joe had pocket Queens and was ahead of Tom's AK.  Board came A 3 2 Q 2 and Joe made Queens-full to snap Tom's Aces up.

26 players remain.

Wednesday, 21st of February 2007 01:53 PM

Erick 'e-dog' Lindgren - busted

Erick Lindgren got his last chips in under-the-gun with AQ. Unfortunately for Erick, Jerry Renfroe called with AK. No help for Erick and he was busted.

Shane 'Shaniac' Schleger raised to 4,800 and Steve Diano came over the top for 14K straight. Shane moved all-in and Steve called, showing pocker Queens. Shane held AK and needed help...which he got with a King on the flop. With that double-up, Shane was up to about 165K.
