Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 11:39 PM Play has ended for today. 43 players remain. They are beginning the bag-and-tag process now. As soon as we get the end of day chip counts, they will be posted here. Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 11:28 PM On the flop of T 9 Q , Scotty Nguyen checked, Ron Faltinsky bet 10K, and Scotty moved in for 12,500 more. Ron called, showing J 9 for bottom pair with the open-ended straight draw. Scotty held A Q for top pair/top kicker. Unfortunately, the last two cards were 8 7 completing the straight for Ron and completing the day for Scotty. 45 players remain with about 10 minutes left to play today. Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 11:00 PM In a 3-way all-in, a short-stacked player and Phil Gordon get all in with Barry Greenstein, who had them both covered. Phil's A7 was ahead; Barry held KJ, and the 3rd player in the big blind held 54 off. Board came J T 9 7 2 and Barry scooped the pot with a pair of Jacks, sending Phil and the other player to the rail. 52 players remain with about 35 minutes left to play today. Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 10:48 PM Davidson Matthew doubled up when his AK stood up against his opponent's AQ. 54 players remain. Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 10:28 PM Kevin 'bel0wab0ve' Saul moved all his chips in, except for the 100 chip he had on his cards. After some thought, Davidson Matthew called. Flop was 4 4 7 and Kevin threw his last chip in, showing A 5 . Davidson was ahead with AJ. Last two cards were T Q and Davidson dragged the pot, sending Kevin to the rail. Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 10:22 PM Level 7: Blinds 400/800 with 100 antes. Cards are back in the air. This will be the last level for today. 63 players remain. Average stack is 28,730. | Steve Diano - chip leader at end of level 6 | |
Alex Jacob got his chips in with pocket 5s but ran into the pocket Tens of Joe Sebok. Alex is now enjoying the view from the other side of the rail. Steve Diano has taken over the chip lead with about 92,000. Joe Sebok is in second with about 80K. And they both happen to be seated at the same table. Max Pescatori has busted out. He moved in with KJ on a J 7 3 flop, but Steve Wong had pocket 7s and crushed him with the set. End of level 6 and they are coloring up the green 25 chips, then will take a 15 minute break. Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 09:44 PM Annie Duke's stack was crippled when she got all in with a big Ace against a player with A7 who made a flush. Then she had to get her last chips in quicky, but was not able to pull a miracle and was busted. In a three-way all-in, Jerry Renfroe held the lead with two black Aces; Davidson Mathew held the two red Jacks and the third player held the two black Jacks. Board came 2 K Q 8 2 and Jerry's Aces held to triple him up, sending one player to the rail. In an interesting aside, Kevin Saul said he folded pocket Queens due to the action, which was a good lay-down, but he would have quadrupled up with the Queen on the flop. Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 09:30 PM The under-the-gun player in seat 3 and Erik Cajelais take a flop of A 7 2 . Erik fires and seat 3 check-called. Turn was the 4 . Seat 3 checked, Erik fired again, and seat 3 moved all in. He had Erik covered by a bit. After a couple of minutes thought, Erik called, showing A Q for top pair. His opponent held K T for the flush draw. River was 4 and Erik claimed the pot with two pair, doubling up to about 48K. Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 09:00 PM Brett Richey and Larry Vance have busted out. Finally, here are the payouts for today's event. 18 places will get paid. The winner will also received a $10K seat to the 2007 WSOP Main Event (with $1,000 travel expense money) and the gold Circuit Championship ring: |
| 1 | $280,859 | | 2 | $147,364 | | 3 | $86,685 | | 4 | $69,348 | | 5 | $52,011 | | 6 | $43,343 | | 7 | $34,674 | | 8 | $26,005 | | 9 | $17,337 | | 10 | $13,870 | | 11 | $13,870 | | 12 | $13,870 | | 13 | $12,136 | | 14 | $12,136 | | 15 | $12,136 | | 16 | $10,402 | | 17 | $10,402 | | 18 | $10,402 |

| Joe Sebok - chip leader at end of level 5 | |
Level 6: Blinds 300/600 with 75 antes. Play has resumed. Vaseli Buboi has departed and we have a new chip leader: |
| Joe Sebok | 64,000 | | Peter 'Nordberg' Feldman | 55,000 | | Matt Lombardo | 54,000 | | Steve Diano | 51,000 | | Charles Swope | 48,000 |
77 Players remain. Average stack is about 23,500. Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 08:13 PM Kathy Liebert got her last chips in with A4 against Sean Colclough's pocket 6s. No help for Kathy and she was busted. Gavin Smith has mounted a huge comeback. He just dragged another pot when his AK paired a King on the river to take the pot and bust a short-stacked player who was all-in with a flush draw that didn't materialize. With that pot, Gavin was up to about 36K. Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 07:45 PM Brandon Cantu got his chips in good with pocket Kings versus pocket Tens, but unfortunately a Ten hit the board and Brandon was busted. Joe Michel got all in against Joe Sebok on the river with the board showing A A 2 x x. Michel's pocket deuces for deuces-full were crushed by Sebok's pocket Aces for quads and the Pro-Joe busted the average Joe. Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 07:32 PM Gavin Smith doubled up when he got all in pre-flop with AK versus pocket 9s. An Ace on the turn gave Gavin the bigger pair and some much-needed chips. Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 05:54 PM End of level 4 and it's dinner time! Players will return at 7:15pm to resume play. 105 players, that is. Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 05:37 PM Erik Cajelais doubled up a short stack at his table when Erik's pocket 6s failed to improve against the other player's pocket Aces. Twelve tables remain with 108 players still in the hunt. Play has tightened up as the dinner break approaches. Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 04:40 PM

Here are chip counts as of the break with the leaders and some other players of interest: |
| Erik Cajelais | 49,000 | | Vasile Buboi | 44,000 | | Matt Lombardo | 41,000 | | Matt Graham | 38,600 | | Shane 'Shaniac' Schleger | 28,000 | | Joe Sebok | 26,000 | | Kevin 'bel0wab0ve' Saul | 26,000 | | John Smith | 25,000 | | Jordan 'Ims0Lucky' Morgan | 24,500 | | Max Pescatori | 24,000 | | Scotty Nguyen | 23,000 | | Gavin Griffin | 21,000 | | Peter 'Nordberg' Feldman | 21,000 | | Davidson Matthew | 20,000 | | Phil Gordon | 18,000 | | Carlos Mortensen | 17,000 | | Joe Tehan | 17,000 | | James van Alstyne | 15,000 | | Annie Duke | 15,000 | | David Daneshgar | 15,000 | | Chris Ferguson | 15,000 | | Allen Kessler | 14,000 | | Erick Lindgren | 13,000 | | Kathy Liebert | 12,000 | | Weikai Chang | 11,000 | | Barry Greenstein | 10,000 | | Alex Jacob | 10,000 | | Tim Anders | 8,000 | | Brandon Cantu | 8,000 | | Jonathan Little | 7,000 | | Jason Stern | 6,000 | | Larry Vance | 6,000 | | Brett Richey | 3,700 | | Gavin Smith | 3,000 | | Totaln chips in play | 1,810,000 | | Players remaining | 125 | | Average stack | 14,480 |
Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 04:20 PM These folks have departed at some point today: Ralph Perry, Robert Williamson III, Chantal McNulty, and Bill Edler. End of level 3 and time to take 15. Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 03:29 PM Layne Flack moved all in for about 6K on the turn on a board of T 5 3 K . Erik Cajelais considered for a couple of moments, then called. Layne's KJ (top pair) was ahead of Erik's A 8 (nut flush draw) but the river was the 7 and Erik sent Layne to the rail. Kyle Bowker moved all in pre-flop after a re-raise from Matt Lombardo. After a couple of moments thought, Matt called, showing pocket Kings. Kyle was way ahead with his pocket Aces...until the flop, that is. The board came 2 7 K J 6 and Matt made the set of Kings to bad-beat Kyle out of the tournament. After that hand, Matt had about 37K. Tuesday, 20th of February 2007 03:02 PM
