Seat 4 moved all in for ~4K on a flop of 3 4 9 . Everett Carlton came over the top making it 20K to go to shut out the third player, who folded. Seat 4 showed A K for the nut-flush-draw with two overs; Everett held pocket 3s and had flopped the set. Last two cards were J K and no help for seat 4, who was busted. After that pot, Everett was up to about 63K.

After a late position raise from Sean Johnson and a call from Larry Vance in the small blind, John Williams moved his last 4,600 all in from the big blind. Sean called and Larry folded. John's pocket Aces were way ahead of Sean's pocket Tens, but the board came T 8 3 Q 6 and Sean took the pot with the set of Tens and John took the long walk to the rail.

Joe Tehan's stack was crippled when he called Kosta Sengos' all-in with pocket 9s. Unfortunately for Joe, Kosta held pocket Queens and he doubled through Joe, leaving Joe in bad shape. Shortly after that, Joe got his last 2,600 all-in and was called in two places. Flop was 3 Q A and the first player bet 2,100 and was called. Turn was T and Joe winged his cards into the muck and got up to leave -- both remaining players checked. River was 5 and both checked. First player showed AT for two pair and the other player mucked. Joe was long gone by then.

48 players remain with about 40 minutes left to play today.

Everett Carlton raised to 2,100 from the button and the small blind jacked it up another 6K. Back to Everett, who asked how much he had left (about 10K) and then moved all in. The small blind called all-in showing K Q . Everett held pocket 5s and the lead. Board came 5 4 A 8 K and Everett took the pot with trip 5s, sending another player to the rail.

50 players remain. Average stack is 28,400.

Level 7: Blinds 400/800 with 100 antes. Play has resumed. This will be the last level of play today. Only 52 players remain. Average stack is about 27,300. Here are the chip leaders and a few other players of interest:

Jeff Banghart (middle position) and John 'JohnnyK' Kincaid (button) each get 6K in pre-flop. Flop is 2 7 T and again they each get 6K in. Turn was 9 and Jeff checked, JohnnyK bet 15K, and Matt called. River was the A and again Jeff checked. JohnnyK asked how much he had left, (about 19K) shuffled some chips around, and finally fired 4,500 at the pot which contained over 55K. Jeff called and JohnnyK said "good call, I got nuthin'" and showed 54 offsuit. Jeff rolled over T 8 for a pair of Tens and he dragged the huge pot. JohnnyK pushed his own remaining chips over in frustration ?? or disgust ??.

	Doug 'Rico' Carli and John 'JohnnyK' Kincaid

In a battle of the nicknames, Doug 'Rico' Carli gets his chips in against John 'JohnnyK' Kincaid's big stack. Rico's pocket Aces were towering over JohnnyK's pocket Kings. The Aces did their thing, even finding a triplet on the river, and Rico doubled up to over 22K.

Rough level for the big guys...

James English raised to 1600 under the gun. Ken Felchuk called from the button and Chris Ferguson called from the big blind. By the river, James had dropped out and Chris was all-in against Ken with the board showing 3 7 T 2 T . Chris held A T for trip Tens, but Ken held pocket 7s for 7s full of Tens and Chris was busted.

Shortly after, Phil Gordon got his last chips in with T 7 against Everett Carlton's A Q . Board came Q 7 5 6 9 and Everett took the pot with the pair of Queens and Phil took the long walk to the rail.

67 players remain.  Average stack is almost 22K.

Level 6: Blinds 300/600 with 75 antes. Play has resumed.

Level 5 has ended and players are on break.

Sam Von Duhn has re-taken the chip lead with about 68,000. John 'Johnny K' Kincaid is in second with about 56,300; James English is in third with about 49,500.

Everett Carlton says Hi to his nephew watching on PokerPages.com. He's in good shape with about 25,000 chips. 74 players remain, so the average stack is about 19,200.

Sorry for the sparse updates during this level. There have been some network issues.

Down to 77 players now. Phil Gordon's stack was crippled when he called an all-in with pocket Kings. His opponent held AK and hit the Ace on the flop, so Phil was left with less than 3K. Dean Schulz was also crippled when his pocket Queens were out-rivered by an AJ.

Level 5: Blinds 200/400 with 50 antes. Play has resumed.  82 players remain.  Average stack is a bit over 17,300.

End of level 4 and players are on dinner break until 7pm.

James English has taken the chp lead with about 50K.

James Salters got his last chips in with a flush draw and gutshot striaght draw, but neither materialized and he was busted by a player with pocket Queens.

Apparently Kyle Bowker busted out at the end of the last level - I missed his departure.

97 players remain. Average stack is about 14,600.

Also found lurking in today's field: Dean Schultz, Kyle Bowker, Brian Gabrielle and David Dicken (brother of Darrell 'Gigabet' Dicken).

Level 4: Blinds 100/200 with 25 antes. Play has resumed. With 108 players remaining, the average stack is a bit over 13,100.

Phil Gordon is holding his own with about 15K. Chris Ferguson is down to about 6K.

	James English

12 tables remain, so at most, 108 players (9-handed). Sam Von Duhn is still in the lead with 41,200; James English has moved into second with 36,800.

James English has taken out two players in short order. The first went down on a board of Q T x 9 x. James held two pair (T9) and his opponent mucked. The second was all in pre-flop with Aces against James' A K . James flopped the flush and felted victim #2. James is up to about 34,500 chips.

Ed Corrado got all in with pocket 8s, but ran into a player with pocket Queens -- and more chips. Ed has now departed.

End of level 3 and players are on break.

On a flop of 4 4 2, Allie Prescott checked (small blind) and the big blind moved all in. Allie called, showing pocket Tens, but the big blind held pocket Queens and Allie was busted.

A couple of other players who have been discovered in today's field:
Eric 'Rizen' Lynch: finished 3rd in the WSOP Pot Limit Hold'em event and 24th in the WSOP main event last year;
James English: cashed twice at the Circuit Event in Tunica last month; finished 11th at the Caesar's Indiana Circuit Event last year, and is approaching half a million in reported lifetime tournament earnings.

Sam Von Duhn is still the chip leader with 32,700, but Matt Banghart has moved into second place with 31,300. Kevin Hamilton is third with 26,300.

Final player count is 142. Prize pool is $688,700. 136 players remain. In addition to the prize money, the winner will receive a $10,000 entry to the 2007 WSOP (with $1,000 travel money) and a gold WSOP Circuit Championship ring.  Here are the payouts.

TJ Cloutier moved in with AK on the river on a Jack-high board and unfortunately ran into a player holding pocket Queens. TJ has left the room.

Level 2: Blinds 50/100. Play has resumed.  As of the break, the chip leader was Sam Von Duhn with 26,425.  Second was Kevin Hamilton with 22,400 and third was Matt Coldinghise with 20,500.

	Peter 'Nordberg' Feldman - busted

Just before the break, Peter 'Nordberg' Feldman got all in on the turn with the board showing 7 7 2 8 and was called by Kevin Hamilton. Peter held 76 and had flopped trips, but Kevin held pocket 2s and had flopped the full house. River was an inconsequential Jack and Peter was busted.

Level 1 has ended and players are on break.

Over on table 29, 6 players see the flop for the minimum: 3 T 7 . Matt Coldanghise bet 400 (into the 300 pot) and Matt 'All in at 420' Stout came over the top for 3K and was called. Turn was 2 and the first Matt moved all in and the second Matt called all-in. Coldanghise held AT offsuit for top pair, but was trailing Stout's 7 3 for two pair. Unfortunately for Stout, the river was the T giving Coldanghise trip tens and the win and sending Stout to the rail as the first player eliminated from today's tournament.

There are a few other names in the house today. Ed Corrado, who has become a fixture on the east coast tourney circuit; Joe Tehan, another frequent face; Doug 'Rico' Carli, who has one of the highest cash percentages in tournament poker; Allie Prescott, who made the final table at last year's New Orleans WSOP Ciruit Event, and Peter Feldman, who won the 2006 WSOP-C event in New Orleans.

And Chris 'Jesus' Ferguson has also just arrived, but hasn't quite made it to his seat yet as the autograph seekers are blocking the way.

The main event will kick off at a little bit after noon (in about an hour). Today's $5,000 + $150 NLHE Championship will start players with 10,000 chips and blinds of 25/50. Levels will be 75 minutes long with a 15 minute break after each.
