Here are the final results for the first-ever North American Poker Championship:

Jason moved in from the button and Soren called, showing K2. Jason held A5. Board was 7 2 6 4 J and it's OVER!!!!

Soren Turkewitsch finished in 1st place, earning $1,352,224 CAD and an entry to the WPT Season 5 Championship.

Jason Sagle finished in 2nd place, earning $676,107 CAD.

Soren moved in from the button and Jason folded. Now they are passing their big blind back and forth.

Blinds are now 300K/600K.

Jason moved all in from the button. Soren folded, handing over the 600K big blind.

Jason got a walk in his big blind.

Jason moved all in on the button for about 1.1 million and Soren called, showing A3 off. Jason held K5 off. Board came T J 5 9 4 and Jason doubled up to about 2.2 million, leaving Soren with about 7.7 million.

Soren moved all in from the button and this time Jason went into the tank, and finally called, showing A9. Soren held A3 and was dominated (and covered). Board came 5 9 2 4 8 and Soren made a straight to win the biggest pot of the night. They had to count down the stacks and Jason was left with only about 465K.

Jason was all in on the next hand, which was A5 and Soren held 53 off. Board was 8 J Q 7 T and Jason doubled up to about 930K.

Soren raised 500K to 900K total and Jason moved all in. Soren went into the tank, then folded.

Blinds are now 200k/400K with 40K antes.

The guys get all in: Jason held pocket 4s and Soren held AQ off. Board was 5 J J K 2 and Jason doubled up.

They took a flop for the minimum and it was Q 9 5. Jason bet 400K and Soren called. Turn was another Queen and Soren moved all in. Jason folded.

	John Lam - 3rd place

Blinds are now 150K/300K with 30K antes. Play has resumed.

John Lam moved his last chips in from the small blind and Soren called from the big. John held T5 off and Soren held AQ suited. Board came Q 2 7 5 3 and John was done.

John Lam finished in 3rd place, earning $352,541 CAD.

John moved all in on the button and Soren called from the small blind. Soren held AK suited and John had AJ off. Board was 3 2 7 4 3 and Soren takes the huge pot. They had to count down the two stacks as they were very close. Soren doubled up, but John still had about 900K.

Jason made it 450K from the button and Soren pushed all in from the big blind. Jason called, showing A5 off. Soren held T8 off. Board came T 7 2 8 and Jason was drawing dead, but the river was another Ten giving Soren the full house and the double-up. Apparently T8 is his lucky hand. I should say so!

Jason completed the small and John checked. Flop was Q Q J and both checked. Turn was a 9 and both checked. River was a Ten and guess what? Both checked. Jason showed a 9 and took the pot with 2 pair, Queens and 9s.

Jason raised to 450K from the small blind and John moved all in from the big. Jason folded.

Jason made it 450K from the button and Soren called the extra 250K from the big blind. Flop was Q K J. Soren checked, Jason moved all in, and Soren folded. Jason showed a King.

John moved all in from the button, Soren folded, and Jason started counting stacks, but eventually folded.

Jason made it 500K to go from the button and Soren moved in from the big blind (2.2 million more). Jason tried talking to Soren, but he put his head in his hands and would not look up or speak. Jason finally mucked his hand.

Blinds are now 100K/200K with 30K antes.

Jason completed the small blind and John checked. Flop was 6 Q 3 . Jason bet 160K and John called. Turn was 9 ; Jason bet 480K and John called. River was 9 and Jason moved all in. John folded.

Jason called on the button; John completed the small; and Soren checked. Flop was A 6 3 and they checked around. Turn was another Ace and they checked around. River was a 2 and they checked around. John took the pot with KQ (King-high).

Jason raised to 360K on the button and Soren called from the big blind. Flop was K 6 4 . Soren fired 180K and Jason raised it on up another 400K. Soren folded.

John completed the small and Soren checked. Flop was 4 2 8 and both checked. Turn was T and John checked, Soren bet 160K and John called. River was the J . John checked, Soren bet 465K and John took a think-break. He finally mucked his hand and Soren took the pot.

All three take the flop for the minimum: Q K J. Check to John on the button, who fired 300K at the pot. All fold and John took it.

Jason raised to 270K from the small blind and John called from the big. Flop was 4 6 9 . Jason checked, John fired 300K, and Jason called. Turn was the J . Jason checked; John fired 600K and Jason folded.

All three players see the flop for the minimum: 8 5 K rainbow. John bets 200K, Soren calls, and Jason folds. Turn was a Jack and both checked. River was a deuce and John fired 500K at the 805K pot. Soren went into the tank for several minutes and finally folded.

Soren calls from the button and Jason completed the small; John checked his option. Flop was 8 8 3 and Soren bet 90K, which John called. Turn was a Q and both checked. River was a 3 putting two pair on the board and they checked it down. Soren showed pocket Aces and dragged the pot.

Blinds are now 60K/120K with 15K antes.

Jason raised to 280K and Jim (big blind) moved all in. Jason called, saying "let's do it" and showed AK suited. Jim had AQ suited and was in bad shape. Board was 5 6 2 4 J and Jim was busted.

Jim "KrazyKanuck" Worth finished in 4th place, earning $289,760 CAD.

Jim made it 160K to go and both John and Soren called. The board was checked to the river and at the river, there are 5 spades on the board. John bets 200K and both other players fold.

Play has resumed.

Jason raised to 220K from the button and John Lam called from the small blind. Flop was 6 7 2 and both checked. Turn was a 5 and John bet 400K. Jason folded and John added some more chips to his stack.

Brief pause for TV.

Batle of the blinds: John Lam completed and Soren checked. Flop was 3 Q 4 . Both checked. Turn was the A . John bet 100K and Soren called. River was the 4 and both checked. Soren showed A9 for the pair of Aces and John mucked.

Jason raised to 200K and John Lam moved all in on the button. Jason mucked and John added some chips to his stack.

Soren moved all in from the small blind and John Juanda called all-in from the big. John held A Q and Soren held pocket 9s. Board came 7 2 4 5 6 and Soren's 9s hold to win the pot.

John Juanda finished in 5th place, earning $217,320 CAD.

Blinds are up to 40K/80K with 10K antes.

John Juanda moved all in on the button and no one called (that's #11) and he picked up 170K in blinds and antes.

John Juanda completed the small blind (first time he's put chips in voluntarily without moving all in). Jim checked his option. Flop was T 9 3 rainbow. John bet 70 K and Jim called. Turn was a Queen and both checked. River was a Queen and both checked. Jim showed JT for the pair of Tens and John mucked.

John Lam raised to 150K from the button and Soren (small blind) jacked it on up to 600K. John folded.

John Juanda moved all in (for the 10th time today) under the gun and everyone folded -- again.

John Lam made it 150K to go and Soren and Jim both called. Flop was K 8 4 rainbow. John checked, Soren fired 350K at the pot and Jim moved all in (991k).   John folded.  Soren went into the tank and eventually called, showing AK suited. Jim held AK offsuit and they split the pot.

All folded to John Juanda's big blind, so he picked up 50K without any effort.  He moved in again (for the 9th time today) on his small blind and Jim folded, again.

Jason completed the small blind and John Lam checked. Flop was 2 7 7. Jason bet 120K and John called. Turn was an 8; Jason checked, John bet 120K and Jason called. River was a Jack and both checked. Jason held J8 for two pair and took the pot.

John Juanda moved all in in the small blind and Jim (big blind) folded 43 offsuit face up. That's John's 8th all-in without a call.  He showed pocket Jacks.

Soren completed the small blind and John Juanda checked his option. Flop was J A 5 rainbow. Soren fired 65K at the pot and John folded.

Jim made it 150K to go and John (small blind) came over the top for another 350K. Back to Jim and he moved all in (another 731K). John went into the tank and eventually folded.

John Juanda just moved all in again -- and no one called. He showed pocket 7s. That's the 7th time he's moved in today and not been called. He adds another 100K to his stack with the blinds and antes.

John Lam raised to 150K under the gun. Jason (big blind) raised it on up to 400K. John moved all in and Jason called, showing pocket Aces. John said 'Oops' and showed his pocket 5s. Board was 7 3 4 K J and Jason doubled up through John.

John Juanda moved all in from the small blind and Jim surrendered his big blind. JJ is 6-for-6 on all-ins today.

Play has resumed. On the first hand back, Jason made it 150K to play from the button. Soren asked how much he had (about 1.1 million) and made the call from the big blind. Flop was 4 3 T rainbow. Checked to Jason, and he moved all in. Soren folded.

Action has paused as they change the film in the cameras.

John Juanda moved all in again and didn't get called - the 4th time he's done this today. This time he showed a Ace when he tossed his cards in.

On the next hand, he did it again.  John Lam, the big stack in the big blind, asked for a count, (522K) then went into the tank, eventually folding.  That makes John 5 for 5 on his all-ins.  He just added another 85K to his stack.

Blinds are now 25K/50K with 5K antes. 5 players remain.

Marc bumped it to 90K and Soren, in the small blind, made it 400K to go. Marc went into the tank, then moved all-in. Soren called immediately, showing pocket Aces. Marc had pocket Jacks and needed help. Board came 5 7 5 4 8 and Soren's Aces hold up, sending Marc to the rail.

Marc Karam finished in 6th place, earning $169,027 CAD.

Jason raised to 80K and John Juanda moved all in on the button for 262K. Back to Jason, who went into the tank. He eventually folded and John added 143K to his stack.

Jim the KrazyKanuck opened for 90K and Marc raised to 290K. Jim called and the flop was 9 2 6 rainbow. Jim checked to Marc, who fired 300K. Jim folded and Marc collects his chips.

Jason completed the small blind and John Lam raised 60K from the big, which Jason called. Flop was J J 6; Jason bet 90K and John called. Turn was an Ace and both checked. River was an 8 and Jason fired 400K, at the pot of 378K.  John thought, then announced 'raise' and made it 1 million (600K raise). Jason called, showing JT for trips, but John had AJ for the full house and he dragged the huge pot, taking the chip lead.

John Juanda moved all in for 359K and everyone folded. This is the second time he's done this today and those were the only two hands he's played, so he's just been posting blinds and antes.

No action the last round of the button -- someone raises and takes the blinds and antes.

Jason made it 100K to play and Soren jacked it on up to 300K. Jason made the call and the flop came Q 3 J - all spades. Soren fired 400K at the pot and after a couple of moments, Jason mucked.

In a battle of the blinds, John Lam completed the small and Soren checked his option. Flop was 3 K Q and both checked. Turn was another 3 and both checked. River was a 6 and John bet 60K. Soren called and John showed 53 for trip 3s and took the pot.

Cards are in the air and on the first hand, the KrazyKanuck raised to 90K and Marc popped it on up to 200K. Back to KK and he said "All In." Marc considered for a few moments, and finally folded.

Blinds are 15K/30K with 3K antes.

If you are looking for the final table of the Canadian Open Championship, it is NOT today. The final table of that event will be held tomorrow, Monday, October 30^th at 5pm. It will be filmed for TV by the World Poker Tour.

Today is the final day of the North American Poker Championship. Play should begin shortly after 5pm, allowing for issues related to the filming for TV by the World Poker Tour.

Chip leader Jason Sagle is a 30 year old father of three from Sudbury, Ontario.  As he was playing last night, he said that he was hosting a big Halloween party at his home and he was missing his own party.  For a shot at $1.3 million, I think his guests will forgive him.  Jason begins today as the big stack with over 2.9 million chips.

John Lam is a 24 year old student of business economics at York University in Toronto.  He started playing poker after seeing the WPT on TV.  He cashed for $28,000 at the Blue Heron Casino outside Toronto back in March.  He's guaranteed a minimum of $169,027 in this event, so he's far surpassed his previous record. 

Soren Turkewitsch also started playing poker after seeing the WPT on television. He currently works in an auto plant, but may have to find a new job soon. He comes to this final table third in chips with 1.69 million.

Jim ‘KrazyKanuck’ Worth, or KK for short, wears his online name with pride on his jersey. He’s from Toronto, Ontario and is one of the most successful online pro poker players, but has never won a live event. With several cashes at the WSOP and other live tournaments, he would really like to tack up win in live poker. This could be the day – he comes to the final table with 1.3 million chips.

Mac Karam is a 26 year old Ottawa, Ontario native who has been playing poker for about 7 years. He cashed at this year’s WSOP and would like to take down this event. It will be an uphill battle for him, as he begins today with only 1.29 million chips.

The short-stack at today’s final table is also the most experienced. He has more than $5 million (US) in tournament winnings, holds 3 WSOP bracelets, and has made numerous WPT final tables. He’s used to playing poker in front of cameras, so that won’t bother him a bit. He’s coming into today’s final with a large chip deficit, but don’t count him out. He’s got a lot of experience to draw on and just might surprise us all and win this one.
