Thursday, 19th of October 2006 05:33 PM Baker raises to 55k and Smith moves all in for 222k more. Baker finally calls after some deliberation and shows A 8 . Smith shows K T . No help comes for Smith and he's eliminated in 7th, one spot from the WPT final table. He earns $75,145 for his efforts. The final table begins tomorrow at 4pm. Thursday, 19th of October 2006 04:38 PM Pelton raises to 50k from late position and Hua reraises to 150k from the big blind. Pelton calls the 100k and the flop is Q J T . Both players check, and the turn is the A . Both check again. The river is the K putting a straight on board. Hua checks, and Pelton bets 300k. Hua thinks for a long while and finally calls. Pelton shows 6 8 for a flush and Hua mucks.

The turn is the J and Pelton bets 100k. Loveland calls again, and the river is the 6 . Pelton fires 140k, and Loveland quickly folds. Pelton continues to amass chips. Play has tightened up on the TV-bubble.

Pelton called from the big blind with 7 9 . Phan showed A J . The board came J T 9 6 Q . Pelton makes a flush to win the hand. Phan is our 8th place finisher, taking home $66,795.

Cellery shows A J and Wong has him dominated with A Q . The board improves neither and Wong eliminates Cellery in 9th. Cellery takes home $58,445.

Thursday, 19th of October 2006 03:09 PM Bad news, Aussies. George "Tasmaniac" Mamacas has busted. Wong raised, Baker called on the button, and Mamacas pushed from the blind. Wong folded but Baker made the call with 3 3 . Mamacas held A J . The flop was 2 3 5 . The turn was the 5c, leaving Mamacas drawing dead. He is our 10th place finisher earning $50,095.
Thursday, 19th of October 2006 03:03 PM Hua raises to 42k in first position. Smith calls, and Baker calls from the big blind. The flop is J 3 5 . Hua makes a motion to bet out of turn and then realizes that Baker is already betting. Baker puts 72k out, and Hua raises to 220k. Both Smith and Baker fold.

Thursday, 19th of October 2006 02:35 PM Franklin moves all in, Baker calls, and Cellery reraises all in. Baker folds and Cellery shows A K . Franklin is in trouble with A 2 . The board offers no help and Tom is out in 11th earning $41,745. Walum doubled up on the same hand with pocket queens holding up against Hua's sevens. We are now down to ten players and they are redrawing for seats on table 56.

Mortensen calls all in for his last 67,000. Hua has him dominated with T T , as Mortensen has 6 6 . A ten on the flop pretty much ends Mortensen. He's out in 14th earning $41,745.

Loveland shows T T for a set of tens, while Wasserkrug has K Q for a straight draw & flush draw. The river is the 7 , making Wasserkrug our 16th place finisher. He takes home $33,395. Mamacas & Franklin call for 10,000. Baker raises to 48,000. Only Mamacas calls. The flop is 8 7 2 . Mamacas leads out for 125,000. Baker thinks for a good three minutes before folding.

The turn seals the deal, pairing the 4, giving Walnum an unbeatable full house. Loveland is drawing dead and Walnum doubles up yet again.

Cantu shows pocket sevens for a flopped set, but Pelton caught perfect-perfect to win the hand. Cantu is out in 18th place earning $33,395.
