Saturday, 05th of August 2006 10:27 PM

In a hand is a young player, Tyler Pendleton, he stands up and flips over pocket Jacks. He's all in and has been called by another player with A K . Pendleton claps his hands, and exclaims: "Let's do it!" He can't bear to watch as the flop comes.... no help. He ducks his head, and the turn brings a Q. Again, no help. The final card is another blank and his pocket Jacks stand up. Immediately his elation is inescapable. "Woo! Yeah! How you like me now, boys? Looks like you're stuck with me for a couple more hours, ain't ya!?"
The other players at the table seem annoyed that he wasn't knocked out. When they’re asked why? "Well, we wanted him to get knocked out because he takes too long."
His parents were nearby and they said: "Wanna know something? He's in this thing on a $2 entry fee online. He's never even been to Las Vegas before. He's got more money in his poker account than he does in his bank account!" "All he wants is a new 2007 Chevy pickup."

The flop comes 9c 7c 2c. The two active players check it and the also the Js on the turn. When 3d comes on the river, Teague is about to bet, but Kingsbury saves him the time and just folds. The flop comes 5h 3c 2c and Adam Bragar moves all-in too, with 310K. Chang goes to the tank for a long while, he calls, and has all the others covered. Bragar flips up Qc Qd, Robertie has As Ad, Martin shows Js Jc. Chang hesitates before turning his hand over, but when he finally does, it’s Ts Tc, and he’s way behind. The turn brings 9h, which helps no one. The river though, is a Td, and Chang goes from the underdog to the Mac Daddy, with a set. He takes out all three of his opponents, and now his stack is huge with about 1,350,000 in chips.

Rich Nielson takes a huge pot when there’s 480K in the pot, the flop shows Jd 7h 2s and Nielson pushes all-in with 400K. Cheng Yu calls and turns over pocket J’s, while Neilson rolls over pocket Aces. The turn doesn’t improve either with the 9c. However, with the Ac on the river, Nielson catches an out, for a set and wins the pot. He’s up to 1,400,000 and Yu drops to $540,000.
