Hellmuth calls and turns over Jc Jd. His opposer flips up Ac Ts. The turn and river are Qh 2c, which totally miss the opponents hand, giving the pot to Hellmuth. He’s up to about 100K now.

Level 10 has started and the blinds are $600 / $1200 with a $200 ante.
The bubble is just around the corner, so round for round play has started until the bubble bursts.

Bobby Boyd bets to $2400, UTG. The next player to act, pushes all-in with $6500. Bill Gazes requests a count, then he reraises to 12K. Everyone folds to Gazes. The all-in raiser turns over Qs Qh, and Gazes shows Ks Kd. The flop comes Js 7s 4d. The turn brings 6c, keeping Gazes in the lead. When the river comes Qc, Gazes shows disgust that his opponent has rivered a set of Q’s. Gazes drops to about 35K.

There’s a new “chippie” in town, and his name is Shane “Shaniac” Schleger.
When the board shows Kh 7d 5s Qs, there’s already 10K in the pot, and Barny Boatman pushes all-in with $10,700. Schleger calls and turns over Q 6. Boatman has pocket 9’s. The river brings 6d, giving Schleger 2 pair, while eliminating Barny Boatman. Schleger leaps to the top of the board with a 90Kish stack.

Mike “The Mouth” Matusow takes a awesome pot when a mid-position player bets to $3500, the button rises to 10K and Matusow reraises all-in with about 30K. The mid-position player folds, but the button player calls all-in. Matusow turns over Ks Kd and his challenger shows Ac Kc. The board comes Qh Ts 3c 5s 9c. This doesn’t improve the challenger, and Matusow scoops the pot. He’s up to about 60K now.

Sunday, 23rd of July 2006 10:58 PM

James Van Alstyne builds his stack by cracking Aces. His opponent pushes all-in with about 5K and Van Alstyne calls. He turns over 8c 6c, while his opposer shows Ac As. The other player leads. The turn and river bring Jc 9s, filling a boat for Van Alstyne, and cracking the other player’s pocket rockets. Van Alstyne has about 42K now.
