Tuesday, 18th of April 2006 08:50 PM And we are finished for today's flight. We do it all again tomorrow with flight 2 at noon. The ones who made it through attrition today will be back on Thursday to battle again. They willl be found at the pool tomorrow! A full list of these survivors will be provided by the tournament personnel and will be up as soon as possible. Tuesday, 18th of April 2006 08:34 PM Looks like we are winding down the today's flight. We have less than 10 hands or about 20 minutes left to play and tomorrow we willl be ready for the next wave of contenders. Interestingly enough, the clocke was stopped and the T.D. drew a card out of the deck to determine how many hands would be played out tongiht. The lucky number was 9. Dont go away, lots can happen in 9 hands. Tuesday, 18th of April 2006 08:29 PM The list of bust outs continues to grow. Count out Sammy Farha, Don Zewin, Nam Le and Chris Bell. Ad Paul Snead to that list. Tuesday, 18th of April 2006 08:20 PM With the most outrageous hand of the day Barry checked to his opponent with the board showing the Ah Ac 9h Qs Jd. The opponent was licking his chops as he held the J J for a nice steamliner. He bet 6K and Barry came over him for a raise to 26K. The opponent easily calls and shows his jacks. Barry then showed something more, a pair of pocket aces for quads. Now that is a bad beat. Barry played it well and waited for his opponent to catch something and then hammered him. Tuesday, 18th of April 2006 08:07 PM Bau Le heads for the house as Dan Harrington's pocket queens outshine the pocket eights held by Bau. One less player. Tuesday, 18th of April 2006 08:02 PM I got to talk with Jeff Rine the other day and he is such a deadpan comic. He had me in stitches just standing there doine a one man show. Cracked me up....speaking of cracked, Jeff took a nice pot off of Tony Bloom when his pocket kings cracked Jeff's attempt at filling in an open ended straight. Tuesday, 18th of April 2006 07:55 PM In a set over set situation, Phil Hellmuth is back in the money. He doubles through his opponent. Tuesday, 18th of April 2006 07:46 PM Raymond Davis takes another one down. With a set of sixes, he sends Robert Williamson III to the rail. Curt Kohlberg head to the rail as well. Bill Edler creams Curt's KK when his AK spiked an ace. Tuesday, 18th of April 2006 07:38 PM Another poker great takes his leave. JC Tran is out.

Greg Fondacaro appears to have the chip lead by a mile right now. Tony Bloom, Mark Seif, Ted Lawson and Noah Boeken follow. Lots more to come. Tuesday, 18th of April 2006 07:30 PM Bad news for the bad boy of poker. The board was showing the Jh Ts 3d when Phil Hellmuth bet at it for 10K. Over the top of him came an opponent and takes it to 25K. Phil then came back over him for all in. No time wasted, his opponent calls. Phil showed the magic A A but his opponent showed an even more magical T T for a set. UT OH..... Aces crash and Phil is down to half his starting stack. Tuesday, 18th of April 2006 07:00 PM
