David Schoenherr - 10th place

And then there were nine...David raised and Andy Bloch raised enough to put him all in. David called and showed KJ and was behind Andy's A4 offsuit. An Ace on the flop was the killing blow. David Schoenherr (pronounced SHANE-er) finished in 10th place.

The final 9 are now counting and bagging their chips - I'll get updated counts posted as soon as possible. These 9 will reassemble here at 2pm tomorrow to play it out.

Aces cracked. On a board of 48J, Adam moves in and Darrell calls immediately and showed pocket Aces. Unfortunately, Adam had pocket 8s and had flopped a set. The set was all he needed and he doubled through Darrell.

Kathy takes a big pot from Darrell. She raised preflop and Darrell called from the big blind. On the flop of 5 J 6 Darrell checked, Kathy bet, and Darrell called. The turn was the 2 . Darrell checked, Kathy bet 40,000 and Darrell called. The river was the K , Darrell checked, Kathy bet 75,000, and after a few moments study, Darrell folded.

Monday, 06th of March 2006 07:09 PM

Weikai (pronounced WAKE-eye) Chang moved all in under the gun. Jim Pechac called with AK of diamonds. Weikai had both red Queens. The Queens held up and Weikai doubled up through Jim.

A huge hand between Andy Bloch and Darrell "Gigabet" Dicken: Darrell raised and Andy, in the small blind, re-raised another 20,000 and Darrell called. The flop was ; both players checked. The turn was the -- Andy bet 40,000 and Darrell called. The river was the . Andy checked, Darrell bet 100,000. After quite a bit of contemplation, Andy called. Darrell turned over for the nut flush. Andy mucked his hand. Darrell takes a huge chip lead with that hand.

Play has resumed after the break. Blinds are now 1200/2400 with 400 ante. It's been decided they will skip the dinner break and play until the bubble bursts, then break for the day. The final table of 9 will begin play tomorrow (Tuesday) at 2pm, not Noon, as previously reported.

Tom got all in with pocket fours and was called by Darrell. On the flop, Tom had a set of 4s but Darrell had a spade flush draw. Tom filled up as the board paired on the river and Tom doubled through Darrell.

Play has resumed in level 11 for another 12 minutes. Then it appears players will only take a short break, then continue until 10th place is determined, forgoing the dinner break.

Alex Jacob - 11th place

Adam Kagin gets all in against Alex Jacob. Alex was behind with 99 versus Adam's TT. A ten on the flop game Adam a nearly insurmountable lead. The 9 on the turn was just a tease to Alex. An 8 fell on the river and Adam won with set over set and Alex was eliminated in 11th place.

Play is halted now as players re-draw for seats at the final table of 10. There are about 12 minutes left in this round.

Monday, 06th of March 2006 05:41 PM

Kathy doubles up. On a flop of K95, Kathy gets all in and is called by David Schoenherr, who holds K8 for top pair. Kathy has pocket Aces and an Ace on the turn cements her win and double up. After that hand, she has about 140,000 chips.

There are 11 players remaining -- when one more is eliminated, the final 10 players will redraw for seats at the final table. Play will resume 10-handed until one more player is eliminated which will end the day. The dinner break is also coming up in about half an hour.

David runs into pocket Aces again. He gets all in with pocket Queens and is called by Gary Lent with pocket Aces. The Aces hold and Gary doubles up through David.

Monday, 06th of March 2006 05:37 PM

"JohnnyBoy "Juan Vazquez - 12th place

Battle of the blinds. Andy called from the small blind and JohnnyBoy Juan Vazquez moved his last chips all int. It wasn't much more, so Andy called and showed 92 offsuit. Juan was ahead with his AT of spades...until a deuce landed on the turn. That was all it took and Juan finished in 12th place.

Monday, 06th of March 2006 05:30 PM

Jim Pechac catches a miracle to stay alive. Jim gets his last chips in with pocket 9s and is called by Darrell Dicken with AK. An Ace on the flop is bad news for Jim, but a 9 lands on the turn to give Jim a set. The set is good and Jim doubles through Darrell.
